“Subida” is a collaboration by Brazilian artist Karol Conká and producer RDD, released as a single on 30 September 2021. Track-specific coverage describes its sound as a blend of pagodão baiano and reggae—a useful starting point for hearing how the song sits within Conká’s wider album work.
What genre is “Subida”?
“Subida” is described as a meeting of pagodão baiano and reggae. That pairing identifies the reported blend, not an exclusive genre label: the available coverage does not establish that the song belongs only to those styles.
The distinction matters because the broader palette attributed to Conká’s album Urucum also includes trap and R&B. Those are album-level influences, not additional track-specific classifications for “Subida.”
Who made the track, and when was it released?
Karol Conká released “Subida” as a single on 30 September 2021. Coverage identifies RDD as the producer and names him as Rafa Dias; it also associates him with the group ÀTTØØXXÁ. The song later appeared on Urucum, Conká’s third studio album, released on 31 March 2022 through Sony Music Brasil.

In a 2026 interview with Bahia Notícias, RDD described his musical traditions this way: “A galera me conhece muito pelas misturas de pagodão, arrocha e samba-reggae, que são minhas tradições.” He was speaking about his roots generally, rather than explaining the production of “Subida” in particular.
How does “Subida” fit into Urucum?
Urucum contains eleven tracks, ten of them produced by RDD, according to the album reference. Its wider mix of Afro-Brazilian rhythms provides context for the collaboration, but should not be mistaken for a detailed account of every element in “Subida.” The track-level description remains the more specific one: pagodão baiano blended with reggae.

What is the music-video connection to Rihanna?
The album reference reports that the music video followed the single the next day, was directed by Bruno Trindade, and was co-directed by Karol Conká. It says the video was inspired by Rihanna’s “Rude Boy.” That is a visual reference; it does not establish a sample, interpolation, endorsement, or collaboration with Rihanna.
