The Kalinga Literary Festival announced its 2024 English-language Book Awards longlists on January 13, 2025. The lists cover fiction, nonfiction, poetry, children’s literature, business, translation and debut books. The announcement also mentioned separate Book Prizes for Hindi, Sanskrit and Odia books.

How the announcement fits the award cycle
Scroll reported that the shortlist was due on January 30 and winners were to be revealed on February 15 in New Delhi. Those are dates from the January 13 announcement, not confirmation that the events took place or that particular books were shortlisted or won. The available reporting does not establish the eventual shortlist or winners. The English-language lists are also distinct from the separately mentioned Book Prizes for Hindi, Sanskrit and Odia books.
