Justin Timberlake had not publicly commented on the viral wardrobe moment as of December 18, 2024. The reported follow-up was visual: at a December 20 Kansas City concert, he appeared in a longer shirt with a looser-looking harness. Coverage did not establish that he explained the change or confirmed it was made in response to the incident.
What happened at the Nashville concert?
During his December 12, 2024 stop on the Forget Tomorrow World Tour in Nashville, Timberlake adjusted or pulled down his shirt while performing “Mirrors.” A clip of the moment circulated on TikTok. The Los Angeles Times reported that a stage harness that was too tight appeared to be behind the wardrobe issue. The paper said a representative had not immediately responded to a request for comment.
The Independent’s December 18, 2024 report also described the harness pulling on his pants as he pulled his shirt down. It reported that the clip had received more than seven million views by that publication date; that is a dated figure, not a current view count.
What outfit change was reported afterward?
E! reported that Timberlake wore a longer shirt at his December 20, 2024 Kansas City concert and that the harness appeared looser. Those are reported observations of his outfit. The available account does not establish that Timberlake said why he changed his look or confirmed that the change was a response to the Nashville moment.

Did Justin Timberlake address the incident publicly?
Contemporaneous coverage said Timberlake had not spoken publicly about the viral moment as of December 18, 2024. The Los Angeles Times also reported no immediate response from his representative when it sought comment. Accordingly, “addresses” in the headline should not be read as a verified public statement: the follow-up documented in the cited coverage was an apparent outfit adjustment, not an explanation from Timberlake.
