In January 2025, Justin Baldoni’s legal team released footage of a slow-dance scene from It Ends With Us. Baldoni’s side said the clip refuted Blake Lively’s allegations; Lively’s representatives said it corroborated them. The competing interpretations are party positions, not a legal finding about what the footage proves.
What footage was released?
The footage came from a slow-dance scene filmed for It Ends With Us. ABC News reported that the release included all three takes of the scene Lively’s lawsuit had cited. The clip became part of a public dispute over the scene and the conduct alleged around it.

The BBC reported that Lively’s lawsuit described the scene as an example of alleged inappropriate conduct and concerns about intimacy protocols. Those descriptions are allegations in a legal dispute, not findings that the conduct happened as alleged.

Did the video prove Blake Lively’s allegations?
The cited reporting does not support saying that it did. Lively’s representatives argued that it supported her account, while Baldoni’s legal team argued that it refuted it. The fact that the release included all three takes, as ABC reported, identifies what footage was made public; it does not settle the dispute over its meaning or establish a legal conclusion.

On June 9, 2025, the Associated Press reported that a judge dismissed Baldoni’s $400 million lawsuit against Lively and Ryan Reynolds. That amount was what Baldoni sought in his countersuit, not damages awarded to him. The dismissal was a separate procedural development; it should not be treated as a judicial determination of the truth or falsity of Lively’s allegations. The reporting cited here does not establish the complete status of all related claims or appeals as of October 8, 2026.
