Yuji Itadori’s major awakening in the climactic battle with Sukuna is tied to Black Flash: the official synopsis for Jujutsu Kaisen Vol. 29 says the technique awakens Yuji and releases his latent potential. “Greatest power-up” is a useful description of the moment, but it is not an official ranking of his abilities.
What power-up does Yuji get?
In its official synopsis for Jujutsu Kaisen Vol. 29, Shueisha’s Shonen Jump describes Yuji awakening through Black Flash and releasing his latent potential during the extreme clash with Sukuna. The wording makes Black Flash the trigger for the awakening; it does not name a separate new technique or formally rank Yuji’s powers. Shonen Jump’s official volume summaries provide the publisher’s account.
The same volume synopsis says Sukuna also regains power through Black Flash. The two characters’ use of the technique is part of the same climactic fight, rather than evidence that Yuji’s awakening happens in isolation.
Why call it Yuji’s greatest power-up?
“Greatest” is an editorial judgment, not a label used by the publisher. The Vol. 29 summary explicitly links Black Flash with Yuji’s awakening and the release of latent potential, making it a significant turning point. But the official material does not compare every ability Yuji has or declare this his objectively strongest development.

How does Yuji’s Domain fit in?
Yuji’s Domain is a later development, covered in Jujutsu Kaisen Vol. 30. Its official synopsis says he deploys a Domain and presses Sukuna with its sure-hit effect while trying to separate Sukuna from Megumi Fushiguro. This is distinct from the Vol. 29 Black Flash awakening; the official synopsis does not present the Domain as the same event or as a replacement name for that awakening. The official volume summaries describe both developments.

VIZ’s official Jujutsu Kaisen chapter list runs through Chapter 271 and includes Vols. 29 and 30. That places the power-up in the manga’s completed story, rather than in a newly published ongoing chapter. The official Vol. 29 synopsis establishes the volume coverage of the awakening; it does not, by itself, identify a specific chapter number for the moment.
