Waka Inoue is a real-world model whose image is reportedly shown on teenage Satoru Gojo’s phone wallpaper. That small detail is why fans call her his “crush”—but it does not establish that Gojo met her, dated her, confessed feelings, or had a continuing romance with her. The label is an interpretation of a brief reference, not a confirmed relationship in the story.
Who is Waka Inoue?
Waka Inoue is a real person, discussed in connection with Jujutsu Kaisen because of a reported image on Gojo’s phone wallpaper. She is not a major fictional character in the series, and the reference should not be confused with a developed character or romance in Gojo’s story.

Why do fans call her Gojo’s crush?
Secondary accounts describe the wallpaper as showing Inoue, which readers take as a sign that Gojo found her attractive or admired her. “Crush” is a convenient fan shorthand for that inference. A wallpaper alone does not confirm the depth or nature of his feelings, and the official material available here does not establish a confession, relationship, or ongoing romantic storyline involving Inoue.
Where does the wallpaper reference fit in the story?
Secondary reporting places the detail in Gojo’s student-era story, associated with the Hidden Inventory material, and identifies manga chapter 67 as its location. Treat that chapter number as a reported locator rather than a verified citation: the official anime material confirms Hidden Inventory as an arc centered on Gojo, Geto, Shoko, Riko, and Toji, but does not reproduce the wallpaper exchange.

For the primary source, start with the official Shonen Jump Jujutsu Kaisen page or VIZ’s licensed English-language series page, then check the relevant manga edition and surrounding scene. The wording and page location may vary by edition or translation, so avoid citing an exact page or quoting dialogue without checking that edition directly.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What the reference does—and does not—tell us
- It supports: a reading that teenage Gojo had an image of Inoue as his wallpaper, according to secondary scene accounts.
- It does not establish: that Gojo knew or met Inoue, that they dated, or that she was part of a sustained romance in the manga.
- It does not settle: broader claims about Gojo’s romantic preferences, his “type,” or how the reference connects to relationships with other characters.
Those distinctions matter because fan summaries and shipping discussions can turn a brief visual detail into a stronger claim than the story itself supports. The licensed manga is the best source for confirming what appears in the scene; secondary explainers and fan-maintained pages can help locate it, but they are not substitutes for the manga.
