Yes—Gojo Satoru is dead in the Jujutsu Kaisen manga. Manga spoilers follow: Chapter 236 depicts his defeat, and Shueisha’s official description for Volume 27 explicitly refers to mourning his death. This is the manga’s story status; it may differ from what an anime-only viewer has seen.
What happens to Gojo in Chapter 236?
Chapter 236 is the pivotal chapter for Gojo’s fate, within the Gojo-versus-Sukuna fight collected in Volume 26. Shueisha lists the chapter under the Japanese title “南へ” (“Go South”) in its official Volume 26 listing.
The publisher’s wording in the next volume removes ambiguity: Shueisha’s official Volume 27 description says, “五条の敗北――その死を悼む間もなく”—“Gojo’s defeat—and before they can mourn his death…” The volume proceeds into the story after that fight.
Do later appearances mean Gojo is alive?
Not on the evidence of the cited official material. Shueisha’s Volume 29 contents list chapters 261–263, which place those later events in the continuing story, but the contents listing does not establish that Gojo himself has returned to life. A later appearance, memory, or use of his body should be described precisely; it is not by itself proof of resurrection.

As the strongest sorcerer in the world, Gojo has access to Hollow Purple, which is a remarkably powerful secret technique that was achieved by awakening the true power of the Limitless during his rematch against Toji Fushiguro. It launches imaginary mass, which can deal destructive damage to any target
