When did Jon Miyahara die, and how old was he?
TVLine and TV Insider reported Miyahara’s death at age 83 on August 7, 2025. TV Insider reported that Dunn confirmed the death on August 6; TMZ attributed that date to Cappasola. The family-attributed date places his death shortly before his reported 84th birthday on August 8, 1941. Because some secondary listings differ, August 6 is best understood as the date reported by his daughter, not a date established consistently across every listing.
What was Jon Miyahara’s cause of death?
The reports reviewed did not disclose a cause of death. TMZ reported Cappasola’s statement that Miyahara died with his wife, Chiyo, by his side, but said the place of death was unclear. The available reporting does not establish a cause or connect any earlier event to his death.
