When Jodie Foster won a 2025 Golden Globe for True Detective: Night Country, fellow nominee Sofía Vergara playfully called out, “No! No! Not again! Give me one!” The exchange was reported as a joke during the award announcement and acceptance moment—not a serious confrontation.

Which Golden Globe Foster won—and why Vergara was there
At the 82nd Golden Globe Awards, Foster won Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Limited Series, Anthology Series, or a Motion Picture Made for Television for True Detective: Night Country, as recorded in her official Golden Globes profile. Vergara was a fellow nominee in that category for Griselda, according to the 82nd Golden Globes ballot.
Foster’s later acknowledgment of Vergara
In her speech, Foster later addressed Vergara warmly. The Independent reported her words as: “The greatest thing about being this age and being in this time is having a community of all these people, especially you, Sofia.” The quoted wording is attributed to that report rather than presented as an official transcript.
