1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsAfter The Golden Bachelorette finale in November 2024, Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple described a three-place plan: time in Vassos’s Maryland home, Chapple’s Kansas base and a New York City apartment they hoped to buy together. They did not announce a permanent move to New York, and the reports described an intention—not a completed purchase.
What was their “really fun plan”?
The idea was to divide their time among three places rather than choose one home to replace the others. Vassos had family and home ties in Maryland, Chapple was based in Kansas, and they hoped to add a shared apartment in New York City.
In a November 14, 2024, interview with KMUW, Chapple described time in Wichita, Maryland and New York City, where they planned to buy an apartment. He acknowledged the logistics: “After that, we’re really going to have to kind of strategize — because to facilitate all three (places) is going to take some effort.” KMUW’s interview with Chapple reported the plan the day after the finale.
Why Kansas was part of the plan
Vassos said she had previously insisted she would not leave Maryland, but was looking forward to spending time in Kansas. In her November 14, 2024, Good Morning America interview, she said: “I always said I was not going to leave Maryland, but I’m, like, actually really excited to spend some time in Kansas — and I never thought I would utter those words.” The couple also said that blending their families was an immediate priority. What was confirmed—and what was still a plan
The couple became engaged when Vassos accepted Chapple’s proposal in the November 13, 2024, finale. The apartment idea was presented in contemporary coverage as a shared dream and a plan to pursue, not proof that they had bought a place. Us Weekly also reported the New York apartment idea alongside their expected time in Maryland and Kansas: Us Weekly’s November 2024 report.
They had not set a wedding date in those interviews. Vassos said she wanted to live a normal life for a while before beginning wedding plans: “I think just living a little bit of a normal life for a bit of time and then we’ll start making wedding plans.”

Did they eventually buy the New York apartment?
The available later follow-up does not establish whether Vassos and Chapple acquired a New York apartment or where they live now. A TV Insider search-result summary described them as based in Maryland and Kansas and said they did not plan to rush marriage, but it does not resolve the apartment question or confirm their current residence. TV Insider’s follow-up is therefore not confirmation of a purchase.
