Shueisha’s official Volume 3 listing says Yuji Itadori appears as the story nears its answer to the conflict. It confirms his relevance to the collected volume’s story, but the synopsis does not specify which chapters the volume contains or explain what happens to Yuji in Chapter 23.
Why call Yuji an “eternal Grim Reaper”?
The phrase works as a dramatic reading of Yuji’s role, but the available official material does not establish it as canon. Shueisha’s synopsis does not call him a Grim Reaper, say that he cannot age, or state that he is immortal. Nor does the accessible VIZ chapter listing provide dialogue that could verify an exact lifespan, a named technique, or a particular confrontation.

Reader discussion has also used reaper imagery when discussing Yuji and Mahito, but that is commentary, not evidence of what the chapter confirms. Until the chapter’s text can be checked, “eternal Grim Reaper” should be understood as an interpretive headline—not a confirmed in-world identity or power.
Is Yuji immortal in Modulo?
The official pages cited here do not answer that question. Shueisha confirms Yuji’s appearance in the Volume 3 synopsis, but does not say he is immortal or give him an age-defying lifespan. Without readable Chapter 23 dialogue or another official statement, immortality remains unverified.
