His work placed him in the public-facing world of celebrity beauty, but tributes also emphasized the personal relationships behind that career. Those comments indicate how close she considered their relationship, while the private details of their friendship remain hers to characterize.
What was Jesus Guerrero’s cause of death?
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s case record, identified as case 2025-03471, later listed:
- Primary causes: pneumonia and disseminated Cryptococcus neoformans infection.
- Secondary cause: acquired immunodeficiency syndrome.
KPRC’s report on the record described the pneumonia as Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia and characterized the AIDS diagnosis as a contributing factor. The formal medical-examiner wording is the more precise basis for describing the cause of death.
The available public record does not establish when Guerrero received any diagnosis, how he contracted an infection, what symptoms he experienced, what treatment he received or how long he had been ill. Online speculation about those subjects should not be presented as fact. The record also provides no basis for claims involving foul play, an overdose, suicide or a specific illness timeline.

What remains unknown?
The public record answers the formal question of cause of death but leaves many personal details undisclosed. There is no reliable basis in the sources reviewed for stating:
- when Guerrero was diagnosed with AIDS or any related condition;
- when the infection or pneumonia began;
- how he contracted the infection;
- what symptoms he experienced;
- what treatment he received; or
- what his family knew about his health before the announcement.
Respecting those boundaries is especially important because a medical-examiner classification does not provide a complete biography of someone’s health or private life.
