Simpson appeared on the Sunday finale, where she performed “Blame Me” and later joined former season 23 contestant Josh King for Nancy Sinatra’s “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’,” according to ABC News. The performance photos in that report are credited to Christopher Willard/Disney. Cosmopolitan characterized Simpson’s hair as a natural-looking, less bright dirty blonde and credited colorist Rita Hazan with creating the shade. The outlet described the target as “a more natural” blonde, “like a kid on the beach.” It also called the appearance Simpson’s first televised performance in 15 years.
What was reported about the color process
Cosmopolitan reported that Hazan spent two hours perfecting the color. That is the duration reported for this work, not a typical appointment estimate. The article did not provide a complete color formula, salon technique, or at-home instructions.

The same report said Hazan used Glaze Hair Supergloss in Vanilla Lights to tone down brassiness and add shine. The product mention does not establish that a gloss alone created Simpson’s overall color; the shade was credited to Hazan’s color work.
