Is Jessica Mauboy pregnant?
The pregnancy news is historical. PerthNow reported on 18 September 2024 that Mauboy was expecting her first child with husband Themeli Magripilis. Four days later, she acknowledged the news onstage at a concert at Crown Melbourne. In July 2026, Mauboy discussed the experience as part of her past and described her daughter Mia Rae as one-and-a-half.
The 2024 report cited The Daily Telegraph for the expectation that the couple would welcome their first child the following year. PerthNow also reported that Mauboy was understood to be five months pregnant; that estimate came from the media coverage, not from the later first-person interview cited here. How Mauboy acknowledged the news
At her 22 September 2024 concert at Crown Melbourne, Mauboy spoke about the pregnancy. PerthNow reported her saying it was a surprise, but also something her family had been waiting for. She added: “when I’m ready when it happens and it will be a blessing” and said it felt that way. This wording is from PerthNow’s account of her onstage remarks, rather than a direct transcript. What Mauboy later said about pregnancy and work
In an ABC Listen interview published 7 July 2026, Mauboy recalled discovering she was pregnant while touring in 2024. She said she wanted to keep the experience private and was thinking about how it would affect work already planned. “I really wanted to be my selfish self and just like, really privately experience what I was going through,” she said. What is known about her daughter
ABC News published an interview on 11 July 2026 in which Mauboy described her daughter Mia Rae as one-and-a-half and reflected on touring while Mia was in her belly. 7NEWS separately reported that Mauboy and Magripilis welcomed Mia in January 2025.
