The visit took place on Dec. 29, 2023, two days before the first anniversary of the accident on Jan. 1, 2023. It was therefore just short of a year after Renner was injured. ITV, TheWrap and the Associated Press identify the accident as occurring on New Year’s Day 2023. ABC News’s report includes a conflicting sentence that gives Jan. 1, 2022; that date does not align with the chronology and is inconsistent with the other cited accounts.
What happened in the accident?
Renner suffered serious injuries when he was run over by a snowplow, also described in coverage as a snow groomer. The Associated Press reported in January 2023 that Renner said he had broken more than 30 bones.
