What Psaki said about Trump’s second presidency
In an interview published on the show’s launch day, Psaki said the presidency could be “the most dangerous presidency in my lifetime.” She explained that she was concerned “not just because of what he’s doing day to day,” but because “his desire seems to be to reshape how our government works, how our system works, to impact things for decades to come.” The remarks were Psaki’s interpretation of Trump’s political aims and their potential consequences.
The interview framed her comments in the political climate of May 2025. They should be read as a host’s stated view, rather than as a factual determination that one presidency is more dangerous than another. The May 6, 2025 interview report also introduced her new primetime program.

MSNBC announced The Briefing with Jen Psaki as a new primetime show, with its launch set for Tuesday, May 6, 2025. The launch report said Psaki would host Tuesday through Friday at 9 p.m., while Rachel Maddow continued in that time slot on Mondays. Those details describe the schedule announced in 2025; they do not establish the program’s current schedule or whether it is still airing as of October 8, 2026.

Psaki’s other political interviews in 2025
Psaki’s interview work also included the podcast The Blueprint. Its March 2025 episodes included conversations with Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker and journalist Jemele Hill. The Pritzker episode covered economic priorities and his concerns about unelected private-sector influence in government; those points are the participants’ statements in an interview, not independently verified findings. Hill’s episode focused on what Democrats should do and how they should respond politically. These episode pages document the podcast’s activity at that time, not its present status.
