Miss Moneypenny’s best lines turn flirtation with James Bond into a contest she often wins. This ten-quote selection spans the classic office banter of Lois Maxwell’s era and Eve Moneypenny’s later evolution into an MI6 ally. It is an editorial selection, not an official ranking.
Ten memorable Moneypenny quotes
The order below is a curated selection, not a canonical top ten. The classic-film lines lean into wit, flirtation and quick reversals; the later examples show Moneypenny setting her own terms. Quotes are drawn from screenplay texts and a script transcription, so punctuation or wording may vary from the final cut.

How Moneypenny changes across the Bond films
The earlier selections showcase the familiar office sparring: Moneypenny recognizes Bond’s evasions, answers innuendo with innuendo and keeps the conversation on equal footing. In Skyfall, Eve Moneypenny begins as a field agent. After M’s death, she tells Bond she plans to take a desk-based role supporting the new M. The official franchise profile describes her as an ally in Spectre and No Time To Die; that active role is a shift from, not simply a continuation of, the classic office-based portrayal.
