James Bobin is returning to Percy Jackson and the Olympians for Season 3, directing its first two episodes. The confirmation was reported by Collider’s Maggie Lovitt after asking whether he would return to direct the opening episodes; Bobin’s reported answer was “Yes.”
What James Bobin is returning to do
Bobin’s confirmed Season 3 assignment is directing the first two episodes. The report characterizes this as continuing a pattern from the show’s first two seasons, though the confirmation itself establishes his opening-episode role—not a directing assignment for the entire season.
The confirmation came in an interview with Collider’s Maggie Lovitt. The available report gives Bobin’s brief “Yes” but does not establish further details about his Season 3 involvement.
How Season 3 relates to the books
Season 3 is associated with The Titan’s Curse, the third Percy Jackson novel by Rick Riordan. That identifies the season’s source-material context; it does not establish how closely the adaptation will follow the book’s plot.
