The Jack Black movie is Dear Santa, a 2024 holiday comedy about a boy whose misspelled Christmas wish list brings a devilish visitor instead of Santa. Paramount+ currently lists it in the US and UK, though streaming availability varies by country.
What is Dear Santa about?
In Paramount Pictures’ official synopsis, “When a young boy mails his Christmas wish list to Santa with one crucial spelling error, a devilish Jack Black arrives to wreak havoc on the holidays.” The mix-up is the premise’s central joke: a child intends to write to Santa, but the error summons a very different character.

Paramount Pictures classifies the film as a comedy and family film. Bobby Farrelly directed it; the listed cast includes Jack Black, Robert Timothy Smith, Keegan-Michael Key, Brianne Howey, Hayes MacArthur and Austin Post. Paramount also credits Peter Farrelly and Bobby Farrelly as producers. The film was released on 25 November 2024, so it is a holiday title that may have escaped notice rather than a new release.
Where can you stream Dear Santa?
As checked on 8 October 2026, Paramount+ has a US title page with a prompt to sign up to stream the film, and its UK page also lists the title. These listings confirm availability on those regional pages, not in every country. Check the Paramount+ catalog for your location before subscribing.

Prime Video’s Philippines storefront lists Dear Santa for UHD digital rental or purchase and also shows a Paramount+ viewing option. That is a region-specific digital listing, not evidence that the same options are offered worldwide or that a physical disc is available. Check the local storefront for current price, format and eligibility.
