The “15-year marriage” in this title refers to Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner reaching their fifteenth wedding anniversary in 2024: Us Weekly reports that they married in October 2009. It is a historical framing, not a current duration. Public accounts trace their story from a 2007 introduction through a reported 2008 breakup and reunion, marriage, three children, and service in Donald Trump’s first administration. That chronology does not establish the private quality or present-day state of their relationship.

How Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner met

Us Weekly’s retrospective timeline says the couple met at a business lunch in 2007, when both were 25, and began dating soon afterward. In a February 2015 Vogue interview quoted by Us Weekly, Ivanka described the introduction this way: “They very innocently set us up thinking that our only interest in one another would be transactional.” She later joked of the people who introduced them, “Whenever we see them, we’re like, ‘The best deal we ever made!’” Us Weekly’s timeline presents those remarks as Ivanka’s recollection, rather than independent evidence about the couple’s early private life.

What is reported about their 2008 breakup and reunion?

Us Weekly reports that Trump and Kushner briefly separated in 2008 over religious differences and reunited later that year. The account cites Nitin Saigal, identified as Kushner’s friend, who told The New Yorker in 2016: “I know he loved Ivanka dearly, but the religious thing was important to him.” Us Weekly also reports that Trump decided to convert to Judaism after the reconciliation. These are retrospective accounts of a private period, so they should be understood as attributed reporting, not as a complete record of what either person felt or decided.

When did they marry, and what is known about the religious context?

Us Weekly places their wedding in October 2009 at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey, and reports that Trump converted to Judaism before marrying Kushner. Biography.com describes her conversion as Orthodox Judaism. Those sources document the public account of the religious context; they do not justify reducing conversion to a single motive or drawing conclusions about either person’s current religious observance. Biography.com’s profile of Ivanka Trump also gives 2009 as the marriage year.

How many children do Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner have?

They have three children: Arabella Rose, Joseph Frederick, and Theodore James Kushner. Biography.com lists their birth months and years as July 2011, October 2013, and March 2016, respectively. An Associated Press report published in January 2025 gave their ages at that time as 13, 11, and 8. Those ages are specific to that report date, not current ages.

What roles did they have in the White House?

During Donald Trump’s first presidency, from 2017 to 2021, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner both served as senior advisers, according to Us Weekly. The archived White House profile for Ivanka identifies her as an adviser and lists the couple’s children; it is a record from that administration, not a current biography. The archived White House profile is useful for understanding her official role in that period.

What is publicly known about their life after the first administration?

The newest post-administration account in the sources cited here is an Associated Press report from January 2025. It placed the couple in Florida after their service in the first administration and reported that Ivanka had announced she was stepping away from politics to focus on her husband and their three children. That dated account does not verify their circumstances or relationship status in October 2026. The Associated Press report provides the date and context for that public update.

Was their marriage arranged?

The sources cited here describe an introduction by other people at a business lunch in 2007, followed by dating and an October 2009 wedding. They do not establish that the marriage was arranged. Ivanka’s quoted recollection frames the introduction as an attempt to connect two people whose interests were assumed to be transactional, but a setup is not evidence of an arranged marriage.

What the public timeline can—and cannot—show

The available accounts establish a sequence of public milestones: a reported meeting in 2007, a reported separation and reunion in 2008, marriage in October 2009, three children, and senior advisory roles during the first Trump administration. They combine a quoted recollection, retrospective journalism, an archived government biography, and later reporting. They do not offer a basis for assessing the couple’s private feelings or confirming the current state of their marriage.
