What is the National Curry Week sharing dish?
The special is an extra-large version of the restaurant’s Colossal Freshwater Prawn Kiri Hothi. The Upcoming describes it as a head-on freshwater prawn from waters off Jaffna and Mannar in northern Sri Lanka, served in coconut milk gravy flavoured with turmeric, fenugreek and lime. Those sourcing details are reported by the outlet, rather than independently verified.
It is listed for parties of up to four. Diners can choose ghee rice or pol roti, a coconut flatbread. The reported accompaniments are papadam and three sambals: pol sambol, made with fresh coconut; seeni sambol, described by the kitchen as sweet and spicy; and lunu miris, described as a hot chilli relish.
