Not necessarily. The available official YouTube TV terms do not confirm a universal offer that makes the first paid month cost $15 after a free trial. A separate January 2026 DealNews listing described $15 off the first month—not a $15 first-month price—plus $8 off each of the next three months. That dated third-party listing does not establish that the promotion is available on October 8, 2026. Check the offer shown in your own checkout before subscribing.
Does YouTube TV cost $15 for the first paid month?
The distinction is important: “$15 for the first month” means the bill is $15; “$15 off the first month” means $15 is deducted from the price that otherwise applies. The official YouTube TV offer terms explain how offers and trial conversions work, but do not confirm the headline’s specific $15 first-month price for all new subscribers.
DealNews reported a promotion in January 2026 offering $15 off the first month and $8 off each of the following three months, with possible exclusions. That is a different claim from a $15 bill, and it is historical third-party information—not confirmation that the offer is still active. If a promotion appears for you, rely on its current terms and checkout details rather than assuming the old listing applies.

How the free trial becomes a paid subscription
YouTube TV says trial length varies by plan, and trial subscribers can watch the channels included in the plan they selected. When the trial ends, the account converts to a paid membership unless canceled. The applicable plan and subscribed add-ons are charged, and the charge date becomes the recurring monthly billing date. See the YouTube TV trial help page for the service’s current explanation.
YouTube TV’s general Base Plan offer terms say an eligible offer is for people who are not current subscribers and have not previously subscribed to the Base Plan or taken a Base Plan trial. A Google account and valid payment method are required. The terms also say that eligible trials can be canceled before they end without charge. Because eligibility and offer conditions can differ, read the terms attached to the specific offer in your account.

What happens if you cancel during the trial?
YouTube TV says canceling during a free trial preserves access through the end of that trial period. Canceling in time avoids the trial’s paid conversion; it does not necessarily end access immediately. Check the account’s displayed end date and cancellation confirmation so you know when viewing access stops.
Other ways a new subscriber might see a discount
Referral offer
YouTube TV’s referral help page describes a discounted first month for an eligible new subscriber referred by an active paying subscriber. The referrer receives an automatic discount after the referred subscriber pays the first bill. The page does not establish a universal discount amount, and it excludes previous subscribers or trial participants. Confirm the value and eligibility in the referrer’s account and the recipient’s checkout.

Google TV promotional code
Google Store’s promotion terms describe a YouTube TV offer for people who receive a promotional code through Google TV. This is a code-gated promotion, not an offer established as available to every new subscriber.
Older coupon listing
The January 2026 DealNews listing described $15 off the first month and $8 off each of the next three months, subject to possible exclusions. It does not prove current availability. Treat it as a lead only if a code is still being presented; the code and final checkout amount must be accepted and shown before you subscribe.

How to decide whether the offer is worth accepting
Compare the full sequence of charges, not just the trial or first discount. A low first bill may be followed by the regular recurring price, and the price may change under YouTube TV’s terms. If you only want to sample the service, note the trial’s end date and cancel before conversion if you do not want a paid membership. If you plan to keep it, make your decision using the renewal amount displayed for your plan and add-ons.
