No official material checked identifies Poppy Playtime Chapter 5: Broken Things as the final chapter. Mob Entertainment calls it the latest chapter in the saga. Its ending, as reported in a published recap, leaves major questions open—but a cliffhanger is not confirmation of a Chapter 6 or any other sequel.
What Mob Entertainment has confirmed
Mob Entertainment titled the release Chapter 5: Broken Things and gives its release date as February 18, 2026. The official chapter page calls it the “latest” chapter in the Poppy Playtime saga; it does not designate it as the final chapter. This describes the wording on the official material checked, not proof that no announcement has appeared elsewhere.
The official description centers on facing the Prototype and exploring deeper into the factory. It also mentions new GrabPack tools and environmental puzzles. The page describes the chapter’s threat as: “Face off against the deadly puppetmaster behind the horrifying events of Playtime Co.” Mob Entertainment’s Chapter 5 page
Spoilers: What happens at the end of Chapter 5?
Spoilers below for the ending.
In an ending recap published by Insider Gaming in February 2026, Huggy Wuggy and Kissy Missy reunite before the Prototype attacks them. The player escapes aboard a train, but the Prototype survives the crash, stabs the player, and leaves them in a vat of Poppy Gel. Giblet revives the player, and the Prototype is revealed to have taken Poppy.

The player and Giblet then reach Data Storage and activate a backup. The reveal is Harley Sawyer. The recap attributes this closing line to Sawyer’s backup: “Well now, this is a rather interesting turn of events…” Insider Gaming’s ending recap
What the Sawyer reveal means—and what it does not
The ending leaves the fates of Huggy Wuggy and Kissy Missy uncertain, while Sawyer’s motives and usefulness remain unanswered in the recap. The Prototype has not been shown as defeated, and Poppy has been taken. Those unresolved threads make the ending open-ended.

That is a story inference, not a release announcement. The ending does not establish whether Sawyer will help the player, what happens next to Poppy, or whether a Chapter 6 is planned. Mob Entertainment’s use of “latest” likewise does not, by itself, promise another installment.

How to play Chapter 5
Chapter 5 is downloadable content, not a standalone base game. Mob Entertainment says the free base game must be downloaded first, and Steam also lists Chapter 5 as DLC requiring the base game. The official page says the purchase includes Chapter 5 only. Steam listing for Poppy Playtime – Chapter 5
