Asked “What’s internet daddy?”, he answered, “Me!” Then he said he was still working out the changing labels. The exchange was playful banter, not a declaration of a lasting preference.
What did Pedro Pascal say on The Graham Norton Show?
Graham Norton asked Pascal, “What’s internet daddy?” Pascal replied, “Me!” and added: “I’m still trying to figure it out, it changes… there’s zaddy, there’s daddy.” The interview aired after the show’s February 24, 2023 recording, according to contemporaneous coverage by Attitude and The Independent.
Why did “zaddy” come up?
Ariana DeBose described Pascal as “very silver foxy,” saying, “That’s, like, very silver foxy. It’s a kind of air about you.” Pascal responded, “I’ll take it all.” The remarks were part of a joking conversation about the labels; the exchange does not establish that he prefers “zaddy” over “daddy,” or vice versa.
Had Pascal used the “daddy” label before?
Yes. At The Last of Us premiere in January 2023, an Entertainment Tonight reporter asked about the “daddy of the internet” label. Pascal read a fan tweet and said, “Yup, I’m your cool, slutty Daddy,” as reported by Out. So the Graham Norton appearance was not his first public joke about the nickname.

What does the exchange tell us—and what doesn’t it?
It shows Pascal playing along with labels that were being used about him and acknowledging that the wording shifts. It does not show that he coined either term, that all fans use them, or that he has a settled or enduring preference. The cited coverage offers no representative measure of how common the labels are.
There is also a distinction between Pascal’s joking responses and other people’s views of the nickname. In June 2023, his The Last of Us co-star Bella Ramsey said, “I very much played into it at the beginning, but now I’m worried it’s gone too far,” and said they did not know whether Pascal still enjoyed it, according to TVLine. That was Ramsey’s concern, not a statement of Pascal’s feelings.

A later Vanity Fair profile, published June 24, 2025, describes fans using “Daddy” or “Zaddy” for Pascal and recalls his 2022 joke that “Daddy is a state of mind.” That retrospective context is separate from what he said on the 2023 talk show: Vanity Fair.
