Go-Go Mystery Machine was announced in 2024 as a Scooby-Doo series in development. A May 2026 report identified the project by a new title, Yokoso Scooby-Doo!, and named Tubi as its U.S. streaming outlet and Cartoon Network for international broadcasts. That report did not give a premiere date or window.
What happened to Go-Go Mystery Machine?
Warner Bros. Discovery included Go-Go Mystery Machine in its June 12, 2024 Annecy development slate as a Cartoon Network kids’ series, with Warner Bros. Animation as the studio and Francisco Paredes named as creative talent. It was announced as a project in development, not a released show. Animation World Network’s report on the slate describes the original project and premise.
On May 18, 2026, ComicBook.com reported that the project had been revealed as Yokoso Scooby-Doo!, previously known as Go Go Mystery Machine. In other words, the newer report presents the titles as referring to the same series, with a changed title. Its report on the title and distribution is the latest project-specific update established here; it is dated May 2026, so it does not verify whether plans have changed since then.
What is the anime-inspired Scooby-Doo series about?
Both descriptions center on Shaggy and Scooby traveling to Japan, where they accidentally unleash hundreds of mischievous mythical monsters. They then work with local allies to solve mysteries and catch the creatures. The 2024 announcement described a foodie adventure and named Scooby’s uncle Daisuke-Doo, magical friend Etsuko, and gadget whiz Toshiro. The 2026 report instead named Scooby’s uncle Daisuke-Doo, magical girl Yume, and gadget whiz Takumi. Neither report explains the changed names, so the descriptions should be treated as separate versions rather than combined into one confirmed lineup.

Contemporary 2024 coverage framed the project as the franchise’s first anime venture and emphasized that its monsters would be supernatural rather than ordinary criminals in masks. Popverse also noted that Fred, Daphne, and Velma were not part of the regular lineup described at that announcement. That was an early account of the project, not confirmation of the final cast configuration. Popverse’s 2024 report gives that initial framing.
