The announcement does not confirm that the offer can still be redeemed in 2026, so treat it as historical unless Amazon or Disney confirms otherwise.
What Amazon’s six-month Disney+ offer included
Amazon’s June 28, 2021 announcement tied the promotion to Amazon Music Unlimited. It was not described as a benefit of Amazon Prime or Prime Video. Amazon said: “New Amazon Music Unlimited customers in the U.S. and Canada are eligible for 6 months of Disney+ on us while existing Amazon Music Unlimited customers in those territories will receive 3 months of Disney+ on us.” Read Amazon’s announcement.

- New Amazon Music Unlimited customers in the U.S. and Canada were eligible for six months.
- Existing Amazon Music Unlimited customers in those countries were eligible for three months.
- Amazon also stated, “Current subscribers to Disney+ are ineligible for this promotion.”
Because the Disney+ access was linked to an Amazon Music Unlimited subscription, “free” did not mean an unconditional Disney+ offer with no associated purchase.
Can you still claim the promotion?
The available Amazon announcement documents the offer at launch but gives no end date and does not establish whether redemption is available now. As of October 8, 2026, the offer’s current status is unconfirmed. Do not assume it is active—or infer a specific expiration date—from the 2021 announcement.

If Amazon displays the promotion to you, review the offer terms at signup and confirm the eligibility requirements before enrolling. The historical announcement alone cannot establish present eligibility or the current redemption process.
What happens after the promotional period?
The announcement does not state the offer’s post-promotion price, billing date, or exact renewal terms. Amazon’s general Prime Video terms say some subscriptions or trials automatically continue at the then-applicable fee unless offer-specific terms say otherwise; those general terms do not settle how this particular Disney+ promotion billed or renewed. Watching Disney+ on an Amazon device
Disney lists Amazon Fire TV among supported TV platforms. A Fire TV device can be one way to watch Disney+ on a television, but it is optional viewing hardware: it does not qualify someone for the Amazon Music Unlimited promotion or extend a Disney+ subscription.
