Iron Maiden played Perth’s RAC Arena on 1 September 2024, opening the announced Australia and New Zealand leg of The Future Past Tour. The event is in the past, not an upcoming show. Killswitch Engage was the special guest for the regional dates.
Why Perth was the tour’s starting point
Iron Maiden’s 15 October 2023 announcement placed Perth first in its planned Australia and New Zealand run, followed by Adelaide on 4 September and Melbourne on 6 September. The band’s announcement described The Future Past as a new show and named Killswitch Engage as special guest for the regional dates.

The band’s official tour archive lists the Perth performance and confirms Adelaide as the next listed stop. RAC Arena’s later September 2024 recap confirms that the concert took place on 1 September.
What RAC Arena reported about the Perth performance
In its 4 October 2024 recap, RAC Arena said Iron Maiden brought The Future Past Tour to the venue on 1 September, returning to Australia and New Zealand for the first time since 2016. The venue reported that the performance paired songs from the band’s most recent studio album at the time, Senjutsu, with fan favourites.

What the band said before the tour
In the 15 October 2023 announcement, bassist Steve Harris said the band was excited to return to Australia, New Zealand and Japan and promised that the new show would be “worth the wait.” He was speaking about the planned tour generally, not reflecting on the Perth concert after it happened.

The reviewed official announcement and venue recap do not publish an attendance figure for the Perth concert. They also provide no named-person post-show comment specifically about that performance. The venue’s description establishes that the set included Senjutsu material and fan favourites, but does not provide a complete setlist.
