Yes—Irish Blood is returning for Season 2, with Alicia Silverstone reprising Fiona Fox. Acorn TV announced on May 26, 2026, that production was underway in Ireland on six hour-long episodes filming in and around Dublin. The announcement and subsequent reporting did not give a premiere date.
What’s confirmed about Irish Blood Season 2
- Renewal and production: Acorn TV renewed the series in September 2025, then announced that filming was underway in May 2026.
- Alicia Silverstone returns: She reprises Fiona Fox and is also an executive producer, according to Acorn TV’s production announcement, distributed by AMC Global Media.
- Six episodes: The announced season consists of six hour-long episodes, filming in and around Dublin.
- Story continuation: The published synopsis follows the consequences of Declan’s death. Fiona, her mother Mary, and Róisín pursue clues from Declan’s briefcase and face danger from grifter Callum Deasy.
The synopsis names Mary (Wendy Crewson), Róisín (Ruth Codd), and Declan (Jason O’Mara). That establishes their connection to the announced story; it does not confirm that every Season 1 cast member will return. Acorn TV’s announcement also described the first season as its “#1 series in Acorn TV history in subscriber acquisition,” without publishing a numeric audience figure.

When does Irish Blood Season 2 come out?
No premiere date is established in the available announcements. TV Series Finale reported on May 27, 2026, that the date would be announced later. Production being underway is not the same as a confirmed release window. Check the report on Season 2 production and synopsis for the contemporaneous update.
How Season 2 follows the Season 1 ending
The new season picks up with Fiona dealing with the repercussions of Declan’s death. The briefcase clues give her, Mary, and Róisín a path to follow, while Callum Deasy presents a new danger. The announced premise points to a continuation of the fallout rather than a reset of Fiona’s story.
