For Irish viewers at the time, those were the clearest free-to-air television and online options; no separate sports subscription was identified for the RTÉ route. “Free” here describes that Irish broadcast option, not access worldwide or a guarantee that the full replay remains in the archive.
Sports rights are territorial, so RTÉ Player content may not play outside Ireland. The official series listing also named TNT Sports, discovery+ and Virgin Media for Ireland. United Kingdom and other countries
The official series listing identified broadcasters by territory, including TNT Sports, discovery+ and Virgin Media for Ireland, and WOWOW and TV5MONDE for Japan. It does not establish a universal free stream or confirm a free option in the United States, Canada, Australia or every other market. Use the licensed broadcaster for your location rather than assuming the Irish RTÉ stream will work abroad.

Why to avoid unofficial “free stream” pages
Pages promising an unauthorised full match can be unreliable and may expose viewers to misleading sign-up forms or security risks.
