Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce reportedly spent New Year’s Eve 2024–25 together in Kansas City and kissed at midnight, according to an unnamed source quoted by Page Six and relayed by ELLE. The couple have not publicly confirmed that account in the coverage cited here.
What was reported about their New Year’s Eve?
In its January 3, 2025 report, ELLE relayed an unnamed Page Six source’s account that Swift and Kelce spent New Year’s Eve in Kansas City and shared a kiss at midnight. The source described the evening as “very romantic.” These private-celebration details are attributed to that unnamed source, not to a direct statement from either Swift or Kelce.

The account said the pair had spent the days leading up to the holiday in New York, then flew together to Kansas City. It cited Kelce’s Chiefs practice schedule as a factor in the plans: practices were scheduled for December 30 and January 1.
How does Kelce’s later account fit?
On January 8, 2025, Kelce discussed the holiday period on the New Heights episode published that day. As reported by Us Weekly, he said he “didn’t do anything” special to ring in 2025 and was working on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Kelce also acknowledged going to New York and said he enjoyed the city and its food. Us Weekly reported that he said, “I did go to New York,” and praised the city as one he “f—ing absolutely love[s].” The remarks cited by Us Weekly do not mention Swift or describe the midnight celebration, so they neither confirm nor disprove the unnamed source’s account.

This is the celebration reported for December 31, 2024, welcoming 2025. It should not be confused with separate coverage of the couple welcoming 2024 a year earlier. The relevant chronology is: Swift and Kelce reportedly had New York date nights on December 27 and 28; Chiefs practices fell on December 30 and January 1; and the unnamed source placed their reported celebration in Kansas City on December 31. ELLE published its account on January 3, followed by Kelce’s podcast comments on January 8.
