How is it different from Gere’s Pound Ridge estate?
Gere’s North Salem mansion is easy to confuse with his former Pound Ridge compound, a separate property that received extensive coverage. The Los Angeles Times reported that the Pound Ridge estate covered 49 acres and had an 11,658-square-foot main house, along with guesthouses, a stable, a private lake, a sandy beach, sports facilities, a swimming pool and a dining pavilion. Those acreage, size and amenity details belong to Pound Ridge—not the North Salem home. The Los Angeles Times’ 2022 report describes that property.
The Pound Ridge compound sold for $24.15 million after being listed for $28 million, according to the Los Angeles Times.
