They were separate products sold through different channels, and the announcements do not establish that either is available today.
Which Inside Out 2 popcorn buckets were announced?
| Offer | Seller and location | What was announced | Price information |
|---|---|---|---|
| Anger popcorn container | Regal theaters nationwide in the United States | Regal described an exclusive novelty container modeled on Anger. | Regal’s June 17, 2024 announcement listed $20 for the unfilled container or $25 with a medium popcorn. Those were the promotion’s original prices, not current prices. Regal’s announcement via PR Newswire |
| Disney Parks themed buckets | Disneyland Paris | Disney Parks Blog said themed popcorn buckets and tutti-frutti popcorn would begin June 19, 2024. | The Disney article did not state a bucket price. Disney Parks Blog’s announcement |
The Disney Parks article also mentioned themed popcorn scoops at Hong Kong Disneyland and a souvenir cup. Those were other park offerings—not the Regal Anger bucket.
What made the Regal bucket part of the film’s promotion?
Inside Out 2 follows Riley as she enters her teenage years and new emotions arrive at Headquarters. Disney’s announcement names Anxiety, Envy, Ennui, and Embarrassment among them. Regal’s collectible focused on Anger, an established character from the original group of emotions.
Regal Senior Vice President Commercial John Curry framed the theater experience around watching with an audience: “Seeing this movie in a theatre, surrounded by a community of fans experiencing the same emotions, and in this case all emotions, truly is the best way to watch a movie.” That is Regal’s promotional view of the communal experience, not an assessment of the container’s design or practicality.

How the bucket fits the wider movie-theater collectible trend
Novelty concession containers are designed to work as both vessels for food and souvenirs that draw fans’ attention. TIME’s 2024 reporting identifies Regal’s Inside Out 2 offer as an Anger-modelled bucket and describes novelty buckets generally as ranging from $20 to $65; that range is not a price range for this specific Regal item. TIME’s overview of novelty popcorn buckets
TIME also reported AMC figures for its collectible concession vessels overall: the company supplied figures of $54 million in revenue in 2023 and $0 in 2018. Those numbers describe AMC’s business, not Regal’s Inside Out 2 promotion. AMC director of food and beverage product strategy Rob Bennett told TIME, “We rank coolness over functionality kind of all the time.” His remark speaks to AMC’s approach to collectibles; it does not establish how Regal’s bucket performed or how buyers received it.

Can you still buy the Inside Out 2 Anger popcorn bucket?
The official Regal announcement confirms the 2024 offer and its original price, but it does not establish current theater inventory or whether Regal is still selling the item. The Disney Parks announcement likewise records a 2024 offer, not present-day stock. Check with Regal or the relevant park for any current official sales; a marketplace listing, if one appears, is a resale offer and should be assessed separately for seller, condition, and price.
Disney’s article also listed related merchandise, including The Art of Inside Out 2, a Little Golden Book, Go to Sleep, Anxiety!, Feeling Feelings: A Guided Emotions Journal, LEGO Inside Out 2 Mood Cubes, and character plush. Their appearance in that 2024 article does not confirm current availability.
