Did Kim Kardashian date TJ Jackson?
Yes. Kardashian has publicly recalled dating TJ Jackson, the son of Tito Jackson and nephew of Janet and Michael Jackson. In a 2015 interview with Rolling Stone, as summarized by Us Weekly, she said they dated for several years during her teens. In a 2025 televised recollection reported by Yahoo Entertainment, she said she dated “Janet’s nephew for years and years in high school” and that it began in junior high.

When did the relationship happen?
The Independent gives the relationship span as 1994–1996 in its account of Kardashian’s 2023 Vogue Italia interview. Those are reported years, not confirmed exact start and end dates. The 2025 recollection’s reference to junior high and years in high school provides Kardashian’s broader description, rather than a more precise chronology.
What did Kardashian say about dating TJ?
In the 2015 Rolling Stone interview quoted by Us Weekly, Kardashian recalled that her father discussed the possibility that an interracial relationship could be difficult. She said, “[My dad] explained to me that he’s had a lot of interracial friends, and it might not be the easiest relationship.” She also remembered seeing interracial couples in magazines as a girl and thinking, “They are so cute.” These comments offer her perspective on the relationship; they do not establish how TJ experienced it.

How was Kardashian connected to the Jackson family?
Her relationship with TJ placed her in the Jackson family’s orbit as a teenager. Kardashian also recalled visiting Neverland Ranch for her 14th birthday. In a 2009 People interview quoted by Vogue, she called it “the most magical place on earth” and remembered the rides and animals. That memory is a specific account of a birthday visit; it does not, by itself, show that celebrity access defined the relationship.
What happened after Dee Dee Jackson’s death?
Dee Dee Jackson, TJ’s mother, was found dead in August 1994. Kardashian said she had been close to her. Recalling the period in her 2023 Vogue Italia interview, she said: “My boyfriend’s mother whom I was really close with was murdered in 1994 and I had to be part of that trial.” She also said, “I had to testify and was there every day with my boyfriend,” adding, “I was just 14, you know.”

The Independent reports that Don Bohana was convicted in 1998, when Kardashian was 18, and that she and TJ were no longer dating by then. The trial is part of the context Kardashian described, but it does not provide further verified details about the couple’s private life.
