The widely repeated $150 million price is a media-reported estimate: about $95 million for the aircraft plus roughly $55 million for customization. The reviewed coverage does not include transaction records or an independent appraisal, so that total should not be treated as a confirmed current market value.
What kind of plane is Kim Air?
VnExpress and The Times of India identify Kim Air as a Gulfstream G650ER. That identification is based on media accounts; the sources do not establish the aircraft’s current registration or legal owner. VnExpress The Times of India
How is the reported $150 million figure calculated?
The headline figure combines two estimates rather than citing a published valuation: approximately $95 million for the aircraft purchase and about $55 million for the cabin customization. VnExpress reported the purchase estimate in 2023; The Times of India repeated it in 2026. The customization estimate appears in 2026 coverage by The Times of India and Private Jet Insider. The reviewed stories do not provide transaction documents, invoices, or an independent appraisal for either amount, and do not establish what the aircraft is worth today.
| Component | Reported amount | What the coverage establishes |
|---|---|---|
| Aircraft purchase | About $95 million | Media-reported estimate; not verified against transaction records. Reported by VnExpress (2023) and The Times of India (2026). |
| Customization | About $55 million | Media-reported estimate; reviewed coverage does not provide invoices or a primary source for the amount. Reported by The Times of India (2026) and Private Jet Insider (2026). |
| Combined total | About $150 million | A reported sum of the two estimates, not an independently established valuation. Reported by VnExpress (2023), The Times of India (2026), and Private Jet Insider (2026). |
What is inside the cabin?
The accounts describe a custom interior rather than a standard G650ER layout. Reported features include light-colored custom wood, cashmere on the seats, headrests, ceiling and baggage compartments, two bathrooms, and a phone charger at each seat. VnExpress also reports a refrigerator and snacks onboard. These details describe the reported Kim Air cabin; they should not be read as factory specifications for every Gulfstream G650ER.
