The preview frames their exchange around the end of Kody’s other relationships—not an established plan by Kody to escape.
What Kody asked Robyn
Us Weekly’s January 3, 2025, exclusive preview of the January 5 episode reports that Kody asks Robyn, “Will you accept me as a monogamist?” The question comes after the departures of Christine, Janelle and Meri from their relationships with him. In the same preview, Kody says he is done trying to fix things with Meri and Janelle.

He also says, “Whatever I’ve done in these marriages, they’re done.” The exchange presents a changed reality for the couple: Kody is asking Robyn to accept a monogamous relationship after the plural-family relationships that had shaped their lives ended.
Robyn’s response: love, but also uncertainty
Robyn’s reported answer is not a simple rejection of Kody. She says, “Yes, I’ll always stick with him, and I love him.” In the same conversation, however, she says, “I’m just having an identity crisis,” and, “This is not what I wanted for my life.” Us Weekly also describes her as feeling “just sort of stuck.”

Those statements hold two things together: Robyn expresses commitment to Kody while grieving a life and family structure that have changed. Her words convey uncertainty about what the future means for her, rather than a clearly stated decision to leave.
What “plans escape” does—and does not—establish
The available account of the January 5 conversation does not say that Kody planned an escape. A separate E! News search-result summary mentions a later conversation in which he said he would almost rather scrap or sell the Coyote Pass property and start again elsewhere. The retrieved summary does not establish the date of that remark or connect it to Robyn’s January conversation, so the property comment should not be treated as the meaning of “plans escape.”
Rank #2
E! News’ search-result summary also attributes to Robyn a remark about feeling powerless and watching more of her dream slip away. Because the full article wording and date could not be verified, that line offers limited corroboration rather than a basis for adding detail to the episode account.
