Hulu Support specifically announced that the “complete English dub” of Naruto Shippuden was available on Hulu. Hulu’s current series listing for Naruto Shippuden identifies Masashi Kishimoto as the creator and lists English-dub cast members including Maile Flanagan, Yuri Lowenthal, Kate Higgins, and Benjamin Diskin. The page categorizes the show as a TV-14 fantasy, international, adventure, action, anime, and animation series originally released in 2007.
The strongest evidence is U.S.-specific. Hulu describes itself as a U.S. subscription service, so this should not be read as confirmation that the complete English dub is available on Hulu in every country. Hulu’s international availability and catalog can differ substantially.

There are 500 episodes—not 963 unique episodes
Naruto Shippuden has exactly 500 numbered episodes. Hulu’s page currently displays nine seasons and 963 catalog entries, but that larger number should not be treated as the number of distinct story episodes. Hulu may be representing multiple language or version entries, metadata records, or other catalog structures separately.
In practical terms, the useful question is whether Hulu provides access to episodes 1 through 500 with English audio—not whether the catalog page’s entry counter matches the anime’s official episode numbering.
How to check the English audio before watching

- Open the player’s Audio & Subtitles menu.
- Confirm that English is available as an audio option, rather than only as a subtitle language.
- Check a later episode as well if you are subscribing to watch the entire run. The relevant availability is the complete 500-episode run, not merely the first season or an early dubbed block.
Hulu also maintains a help page for finding specific programming. These checks are sensible precautions, not an indication that Hulu has announced a removal date.
Why the word “finally” matters
The announcement did not create a new English dub. The dub had been completed as a production, but its availability on streaming services was staged and, for many viewers, incomplete for a long period. Hulu’s announcement mattered because it closed the gap between the early dubbed episodes and the end of the 500-episode series.
That distinction is important: Hulu’s announcement confirms availability on Hulu, but it does not establish that Hulu was the first service ever to carry the dub, that Hulu has permanent exclusive rights, or that the service will retain the episodes indefinitely.

What is Naruto Shippuden about?
The series adapts the second major portion of Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto story. It follows Naruto Uzumaki after his earlier training period as he returns to a world facing escalating threats, conflicts between ninja villages, and the consequences of choices made by earlier generations.
For viewers starting the story from the beginning, Naruto Shippuden follows the original Naruto series. Hulu’s availability of the Shippuden dub answers the language question for this series, but viewers should separately verify which audio options are available for any other Naruto title they plan to watch.

If you want to own the series instead
Streaming is convenient, but physical releases are worth considering if you want a collection that is less dependent on a platform’s changing catalog. VIZ has released Naruto Shippuden on DVD and Blu-ray with English and Japanese audio and English subtitles. For shoppers comparing editions, a Naruto Shippuden Blu-ray set can be a practical place to start—but check the episode range carefully, because individual sets cover only portions of the 500-episode series.
For example, VIZ’s listing for Naruto Shippuden, Set 10 describes a four-disc Blu-ray release containing 28 episodes, numbers 249–276. The listing gives a May 19, 2026 release date and includes retailer options, including Amazon. That set is one segment of the series, not a complete-series box set.
VIZ has also documented Naruto Shippuden DVD Set 38 as the final DVD release, covering the concluding wedding-related material and including interviews with Maile Flanagan and Amanda C. Miller. “Final set” means the concluding release in that DVD line; it does not mean that Set 38 alone contains all 500 episodes.

Those are collector or source-material options, not replacements for watching the complete anime.
What Hulu’s anime history does—and does not—prove
Hulu’s 2018 press materials described an expanded anime relationship with Funimation and highlighted access to subtitled and dubbed anime programming. The release included Naruto Shippuden among Hulu’s anime titles. It provides useful historical context for Hulu’s anime catalog, but because it predates the later complete-dub announcement, it should not be used by itself as proof that all 500 episodes were then available in English.
