Hulk Hogan said he received a voice message from Roddy Piper two days after Piper died. Hogan described it as an audio message sent through text—not a conventional voicemail—and the reported timing is Hogan’s account, not independently verified delivery data.
What Hogan said the message contained
During an appearance on The 700 Club, Hogan recalled receiving the message and described it this way, in a transcript published by Fightful on May 1, 2024:

“It wasn’t a text message, but it was a text message that was voice message on the text. But this message came in two days after he died and the text message goes ‘I’m just loving you, my brother. I’m just walkin’ with Jesus. Walkin’ with Jesus and loving you, my brother.’”
Hogan said he and Piper had exchanged messages and spoken about spirituality after years of hostility as wrestling rivals. According to Hogan’s recollection, Piper had asked him about his spirituality but had not embraced it. Hogan said the message surprised him because he did not think Piper would have spoken that way while alive. These details, like the quoted words, are reported as Hogan’s account.

What is established—and what is not
Reports published May 1, 2024, by Fightful and Wrestling Inc. attribute the story to Hogan. The available reporting does not independently establish when Piper recorded or sent the audio, or when it was delivered. The quote is Fightful’s transcription of Hogan’s recollection; it should not be treated as a verified transcript of an independently authenticated recording.
Fightful also reported that Hogan had told the story in an A&E special about Piper and that the message was played in that program. That detail is secondary reporting; the program itself is not independently verified here.

Why the wording matters
Hogan’s description was of a voice message delivered through text, rather than a standard voicemail. He said it arrived two days after Piper’s death, but that timing does not establish when the audio was made or explain why delivery happened then. The reports document Hogan’s interpretation of an unexpected message; they do not establish supernatural contact.
