Prince William attended and served as an usher. Princess Eugenie was among the royal guests reported to be there. ITV said before the ceremony that about 400 guests were expected; that was a pre-event estimate, not a confirmed final attendance count. What was Olivia Henson’s wedding dress like?
Contemporary reports named British designer Emma Victoria Payne as the creator of Henson’s wedding dress and veil. The dress was described as featuring floral motifs, while the veil incorporated edging or material from one worn by Henson’s great-great-grandmother. That heirloom detail is reported by the press; a primary statement from the designer was not identified in the contemporaneous coverage. What happened as the couple left the cathedral?
As the newlyweds emerged from the cathedral, two women sprayed orange powder from a fire extinguisher, briefly disrupting their exit. Police arrested the women on suspicion of public-order offenses. Just Stop Oil said they were members of the group. The available reporting does not establish a later legal outcome. Associated Press reported the incident and arrests.
