Sister Barnes, played by Sophie Thatcher, and Sister Paxton, played by Chloe East, visit Mr. Reed to talk about Mormonism. The trailer makes clear that he has other plans for the encounter. Rather than spelling out what those plans are, it frames the conflict around belief and disbelief and offers glimpses of the environments the missionaries enter, including a basement.
