The later EP, released on 16 August 2024, added three more songs recorded during the Unreal Unearth sessions. Hozier’s verified comments explain why those tracks were held back from the original album; they are distinct from his remarks about “Too Sweet” in a separate Official Charts feature.
What songs are on Hozier’s Unaired EP?
Unaired contains three tracks: “Nobody’s Soldier,” “July,” and “That You Are,” featuring Bedouine. Sony Music Canada announced the release through Columbia Records on 16 August 2024, the one-year anniversary of Unreal Unearth. The Hozier store listing identifies the product as a digital download and gives the same date and track list.

Why did these songs come out after Unreal Unearth?
Hozier said the three songs on Unaired were recorded during the Unreal Unearth sessions and belonged to the world of that album, but did not fit its initial release. The EP therefore extends the album sessions rather than presenting “Too Sweet” under a new title. Sony Music Canada described Unaired as following the earlier Unheard EP. Sony Music Canada’s release announcement gives the track details and Hozier’s explanation.
Is “Too Sweet” on Unaired?
No. “Too Sweet” appeared on Unheard, the earlier four-track EP of previously unreleased songs from the Unreal Unearth sessions. That EP also included “Wildflower and Barley,” featuring Allison Russell. Unaired is a separate, later three-track release.

Did “Too Sweet” reach number one in the UK?
Yes. The Official Charts Company reported that “Too Sweet” became Hozier’s first UK number-one single. For the chart week it covered, the song recorded 61,000 chart units and 6.7 million UK streams; those figures describe that week, not lifetime totals. In its coverage, Hozier said: “I was taken aback by the response for Too Sweet and am thrilled people are enjoying it.” He also thanked UK listeners: “Enormous thank you to everyone in the UK for all their support.” Official Charts’ report contains the chart milestone and comments.

The documented physical option is not a standalone Unaired record. Universal Music Germany lists Unreal Unearth: Unending in a 3LP deluxe edition, a 2CD edition, and LP editions, released 6 December 2024. The company says the expanded sets include material from both Unheard and Unaired, including “Too Sweet.” Universal Music Germany’s announcement documents those formats and contents. Separately, the Hozier store’s Unaired listing is for a digital download, not a standalone vinyl or CD release.
