The Yankees–Tigers game associated with September 11 was played on Thursday, September 11, 2025—not 2026. First pitch was scheduled for 7:05 p.m. ET at Yankee Stadium, and the Yankees defeated Detroit 9–3. Because the game is complete, viewers should look for MLB’s official recap, highlights, and condensed game rather than a live stream.
This date matters: the Yankees are scheduled to play the Mets at Yankee Stadium from September 11–13, 2026. That is a different series.
Quick answer
To revisit the September 11, 2025 Yankees–Tigers game online, use MLB’s official game story, highlight clips, and condensed-game video. MLB retains official material for the matchup, including the box score and play-by-play.
The original regional television outlets were YES Network for viewers in the Yankees’ home territory and FanDuel Sports Network Detroit—listed at the time as FDSDET—for viewers in the Tigers’ regional market. Those networks were regional broadcast routes, not universal nationwide streams.

How to watch the game now
1. Watch MLB’s official highlights
MLB hosts official highlight clips from the Yankees–Tigers matchup. This is the fastest option if you want to see the major plays, including Judge’s home runs and the Yankees’ nine-run performance.
Look for the September 11, 2025 Detroit Tigers–New York Yankees game in MLB’s official video and game archive. Use wording such as “watch the highlights” rather than “watch live,” because the event has already concluded.

2. Watch the official condensed game
MLB also hosts a condensed-game video for this matchup. A condensed game is generally the better choice if you want more of the game than short highlight clips without watching every pitch.

Availability of particular videos can change with account requirements, territory, and MLB’s current rights arrangements. The official sources verify the existence of highlights and condensed-game material; they do not establish that an unrestricted full-game replay will remain available permanently.
3. Read the official recap and review the box score
If video is unavailable, MLB’s official game story, box score, and play-by-play provide an authorized way to reconstruct the game. The recap records the main events, while the box score shows each batter’s and pitcher’s statistical line.
Where the game originally aired
YES Network for Yankees-market viewers
The contemporaneous listing identified YES Network as the Yankees’ regional broadcaster for this game. In the Yankees’ home television territory, the original online route would have been an authorized YES distribution option through a participating pay-TV provider or streaming service.

Do not assume that a Prime Video subscription included this particular matchup unless a dated schedule or archive confirms it.
FanDuel Sports Network Detroit for Tigers-market viewers
The Tigers’ regional outlet was FanDuel Sports Network Detroit, identified in some listings by the abbreviation FDSDET. A viewer in the Tigers’ regional territory would have needed an authorized provider or service carrying that network.

Would MLB.TV have shown Yankees vs. Tigers?
MLB.TV is primarily an out-of-market service. It is designed for fans who live outside the applicable local television territories, but live availability can be limited by home-territory blackouts and national exclusivity agreements.
Those restrictions can apply whether the team is playing at home or away and whether the game is also televised locally. Therefore:
- A fan outside both the Yankees’ and Tigers’ applicable home territories may have been eligible to watch the live game through MLB.TV when it was available.
- A fan inside the Yankees’ or Tigers’ home territory could have encountered a blackout.
- Buying MLB.TV does not guarantee live access to every game.
- A blackout is not necessarily removed just because a local channel is unavailable through a particular cable or streaming provider.
Since this matchup is now completed, MLB.TV’s on-demand rules are more relevant than its former live listing. MLB’s service documentation distinguishes live access from archived access: archived games may become available after completion, while live audio can remain available in some situations where video is restricted. Check the current MLB account and archive before subscribing specifically for this game.
Best option by viewer location
| Where you are | Most relevant route | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|
| Outside both teams’ home territories | MLB.TV’s out-of-market package when the game was live; official MLB archive material now | Blackouts and national exclusivity can still apply |
| Yankees regional territory | YES Network through an authorized participating provider | Availability depends on territory, provider, and package |
| Tigers regional territory | FanDuel Sports Network Detroit through an authorized participating provider | Availability and pricing vary by location and current rights |
| Any location today | MLB’s official highlights, condensed game, recap, box score, and play-by-play | A full-game replay is not guaranteed by the available evidence |
What not to rely on
- Unverified “free stream” pages: They are not established as official or safe and may involve copyright, malware, aggressive advertising, or deceptive playback buttons.
- A generic MLB.TV purchase: It does not automatically overcome local blackouts or national exclusivity restrictions.
- Prime Video assumptions: YES’s 2025 announcement confirms selected Yankees games on Prime Video, but not this specific September 11 matchup.
- VPN claims: A VPN should not be presented as an authorized way to bypass MLB blackout rules or territorial rights.
- Third-party replay promises: Current availability of a complete replay can change; rely on MLB’s own archive and account pages for the authoritative status.
September 11, 2025 versus September 11, 2026
Search results can create confusion because the title does not include a year. The Yankees–Tigers game was on September 11, 2025, and ended with a 9–3 Yankees victory. MLB’s 2026 schedule instead lists the Yankees playing the Mets at Yankee Stadium from September 11 through September 13, 2026.
