You can watch NFL Network without a traditional cable subscription through NFL+, a live-TV streaming service, or an existing TV provider login. The least expensive direct option is regular NFL+ at $6.99 per month or $49.99 per year, and NFL+ Premium is not required for the NFL Network livestream.

Your best choice depends on what you actually want to watch. NFL Network is a 24-hour channel with news, analysis, documentaries, highlights, and selected live games. It is not the same as NFL Sunday Ticket, and it does not provide every NFL game.

Quick comparison: the main ways to stream NFL Network

Service Plan with NFL Network Advertised price Best for
NFL+ Regular NFL+ $6.99/month or $49.99/year The cheapest direct way to watch NFL Network
NFL+ NFL+ Premium $14.99/month or $99.99/year NFL Network plus NFL RedZone and game replays
YouTube TV Main YouTube TV plan or Sports Plan $82.99/month for the main plan; Sports Plan listed at $64.99/month A broader live-TV replacement
Hulu + Live TV Hulu + Live TV Plans advertised from $89.99/month Live TV bundled with Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN Select
Sling TV Sling Select, Sling Blue, or Orange & Blue $24.99/month for Select; $54.99 for Blue; $64.99 for Orange & Blue A flexible live-TV package, subject to availability and promotions
DIRECTV Eligible Signature package with Sports Pack Varies by package Subscribers who want NFL Network through DIRECTV

Prices and channel lineups can change. Local availability, regional restrictions, and blackouts may also affect what you see.

Option 1: Watch NFL Network with NFL+

Regular NFL+ includes the live NFL Network stream across supported devices. You do not need NFL+ Premium merely to watch the channel.

The important NFL+ limitation

NFL+ is not a full replacement for a live-TV service. Live local games and live primetime regular-season and postseason games are restricted to phones and tablets. That restriction does not apply to the live NFL Network stream, which is available across supported devices.

In practical terms, NFL+ can put NFL Network on your television, but it may not let you watch every live NFL game on that television.

YouTube TV

YouTube TV lists NFL Network on its main plan and on its Sports Plan. The main plan is listed at $82.99 per month, while the Sports Plan is listed at $64.99 per month.

There is an important 2026 plan change: YouTube TV says NFL Network was removed from select plans beginning June 29, 2026. Affected customers lost both live access and existing NFL Network library recordings. To restore access:

  1. Open tv.youtube.com/settings, or open the YouTube TV app.
  2. Select Membership.
  3. Choose the main YouTube TV plan or the Sports Plan.

NFL Sunday Ticket and NFL RedZone purchased through Sports Plus are not affected by this specific NFL Network plan change.

Hulu + Live TV

Hulu lists NFL Network among the channels included with Hulu + Live TV. Advertised plans currently begin at $89.99 per month for Hulu + Live TV, Disney+ and ESPN Select.

Hulu warns that local availability, regional restrictions, and blackouts apply. On mobile devices, Hulu requires location data to access Live TV content, so a location-permission problem can prevent playback even when your subscription is active.

Sling TV

Sling lists NFL Network in Sling Select, Sling Blue, and Sling Orange & Blue. Its displayed prices include $24.99 per month for Select, $54.99 per month for Blue, and $64.99 per month for Orange & Blue. Promotional pricing and service terms can vary.

Sling can be less expensive than a larger live-TV bundle, but you should confirm the exact package and channel availability before paying. A plan that carries NFL Network still may not carry all local NFL broadcasts.

DIRECTV

DIRECTV says its Sports Pack provides NFL Network and NFL RedZone when added to an eligible Signature package. The total cost depends on the underlying package and any current offer, so check your account or the package details before adding the sports option.

Option 3: Sign in with a TV provider you already have

If you already subscribe to cable, satellite, telecommunications TV, or a participating streaming-TV service, you may be able to authenticate in the NFL app or on NFL.com. The subscription must include NFL Network; having a provider login alone is not enough.

What NFL Network includes—and what it does not

NFL Network is a year-round channel featuring live programming, league news, analysis, highlights, and selected live games. Its schedule can include documentary-style and archival football programming, but it is not a universal pass to the NFL schedule.

Product What it is
NFL Network A live, year-round channel with news, analysis, highlights, and selected live games.
NFL+ A direct NFL subscription that includes the NFL Network livestream and other NFL content.
NFL+ Premium NFL+ with NFL RedZone and game replays across supported devices.
NFL RedZone A separate live channel focused on scoring opportunities during Sunday games.
NFL Sunday Ticket A separate product for out-of-market Sunday-afternoon games.

Local games, primetime games, Thursday-night games, and out-of-market Sunday-afternoon games can be distributed through different networks or services. Therefore, choosing a service because it carries NFL Network does not guarantee access to every game.

Common mistakes when trying to stream NFL Network

  • Buying NFL+ Premium unnecessarily: Regular NFL+ includes the NFL Network livestream. Premium is for additional features such as RedZone and replays.
  • Assuming NFL+ works only on phones: Some live NFL games are mobile-only, but NFL Network itself streams on supported connected-TV devices.
  • Confusing NFL Network with RedZone: They are separate services. RedZone comes with NFL+ Premium and may require a sports add-on on a live-TV service.
  • Assuming every YouTube TV plan still includes NFL Network: After June 29, 2026, YouTube TV says affected customers must use the main plan or Sports Plan.
  • Expecting a provider login to unlock everything: Authentication follows the channels and content included in your particular subscription package.

Troubleshooting NFL Network streaming problems

NFL+ is paid for, but the stream is locked

First confirm that you are signed in with the same NFL account email used for the purchase. Then update the NFL app and device software, sign out and back in, and reinstall the app if necessary. Check permissions and location services. If you subscribed through an app store, use the app’s restore-purchase option where available.

A live NFL game will not play on the television

Check whether you are trying to watch a live local or primetime game through NFL+. Those games are restricted to phones and tablets. This limitation is different from the NFL Network livestream, which supports compatible connected-TV devices.

Your TV provider does not appear in the NFL app

Provider availability can vary. Confirm that your provider package carries NFL Network, then check the authentication list again later if the provider is not displayed. A provider may be supported in one context or region but not appear for every account.

Hulu Live TV works at home but not on a phone

Enable location access for Hulu on the mobile device. Hulu requires location data for Live TV viewing on mobile and also applies regional restrictions and blackouts.

NFL Network recordings disappeared on YouTube TV

YouTube TV says customers affected by its June 29, 2026 plan change lose previous NFL Network library recordings as well as live access. Moving to the main YouTube TV plan or Sports Plan restores ongoing access, but check YouTube TV’s current notice before changing your membership.

FAQ

What is the cheapest way to watch NFL Network without cable?

Regular NFL+ is the least expensive direct option listed by the NFL: $6.99 per month or $49.99 per year. It includes the live NFL Network stream. It is available in the United States, but not in U.S. territories.

Do I need NFL+ Premium to watch NFL Network?

No. Both regular NFL+ and NFL+ Premium include the live NFL Network stream. Premium costs more because it adds NFL RedZone and game replays across supported devices.

Can I watch NFL Network on my TV with NFL+?

Yes, NFL Network is available across supported devices, including compatible Apple TV, Android TV, Google TV, Roku, Fire TV, Xbox, LG, Samsung, and Vizio devices. NFL+’s mobile-only restriction applies to certain live NFL games, not to the NFL Network livestream.

Is NFL Network included with NFL Sunday Ticket or RedZone?

No. NFL Network, NFL RedZone, and NFL Sunday Ticket are separate products. A live-TV provider may bundle some of them together, but you should verify the specific plan and add-ons before subscribing.

The Bottom Line

For the lowest price, choose regular NFL+ at $6.99 per month or $49.99 per year. It includes the NFL Network livestream and works on supported TVs as well as mobile devices. Choose NFL+ Premium only if you also want RedZone and game replays.

If you need a broader live-TV replacement with local channels and other networks, compare YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV, and DIRECTV. Check the current package carefully—especially YouTube TV’s post-June 29, 2026 plan change—and remember that NFL Network is not a substitute for Sunday Ticket or a complete season pass.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
