#1 Best Overall
Is the whole season available?
Yes. Season 1 contains eight episodes, all released on February 8, 2026. You do not need to wait for additional weekly episodes.
Can you watch The ‘Burbs outside the United States?
There is no single confirmed worldwide streaming destination. Peacock’s U.S. availability does not establish that the service or this title is available in every country. NBCUniversal has said the series was sold to more than 100 territories, but local launch dates and distributors can differ.
Rank #2
Check your country’s official broadcaster and streaming listings before subscribing. A local service may carry the series instead of Peacock. A U.S. subscription may not provide the same catalog abroad, and a VPN is not a guaranteed or necessarily permitted solution because account, payment, licensing and terms-of-service restrictions can still apply.
Could you buy the episodes instead?
A current U.S. listing from JustWatch reports possible purchase options through Amazon Video, the Apple TV Store and Fandango at Home. These listings are third-party and can change by country, retailer and episode packaging, so verify the title and edition directly before paying. Peacock remains the only destination confirmed directly by the distributor.

Rank #3
What is the 2026 series about?
The ‘Burbs is a mystery comedy, also described by Peacock as a comedy-drama. Samira and Rob Fisher move into Rob’s childhood home, where the arrival of a mysterious neighbor exposes secrets and threats in the community. The story uses suburban paranoia without continuing the original film’s characters.
Is it the same as the Tom Hanks movie?
No. The series is inspired by Joe Dante’s 1989 film The ‘Burbs, but it is a separate story with new characters and a contemporary setting.

Peacock’s explainer on the connection between the series and movie explains the relationship. The original film may also appear on Peacock, but it is a separate entry from the 2026 series.

Will there be a second season?
Peacock renewed The ‘Burbs for Season 2 in April 2026. Peacock has not established a premiere date in the available announcement, so no release date should be assumed.
