How to stream the 2025 Cotton Bowl
The original digital viewing route was the ESPN App or ESPN.com. ESPN’s support guidance says that live ESPN programming requires viewers to sign in with a participating TV-provider account. In practice, that meant using the credentials for an eligible cable, satellite, or live-TV provider rather than expecting an unrestricted free stream.

Why some listings call it the 2024 College Football Playoff
The semifinal took place in January 2025 but belonged to the 2024–25 postseason. That is why Ohio State materials may call it the “2024 College Football Playoffs Semifinal,” while broadcast and news listings often use “2025 Cotton Bowl.” Both descriptions refer to the Ohio State–Texas game at AT&T Stadium.
