Love Island UK Season 12 (the 2025 season) is available on Hulu in the United States, so you do not need a VPN. Hulu’s current guide says its U.S. catalog includes the first 12 UK seasons. ITVX remains the UK broadcaster’s streaming service, but accessing it from the U.S. can involve geographic restrictions and VPN detection.
Where to watch Love Island UK Season 12 in the U.S.
For most American viewers, Hulu is the simplest legal choice. Hulu’s official guide currently says the service carries the first 12 seasons of Love Island UK, which includes Season 12. That availability was checked on August 18, 2026; streaming catalogs can change by territory and licensing window.

A normal Hulu subscription is enough for this completed, on-demand season. Hulu + Live TV is not required. Eligible U.S. Disney Bundle subscribers may also reach Hulu programming through Hulu on Disney+, although Disney+ availability and bundles differ outside the United States.
Use Hulu’s official signup page for current plans and offers. The page showed a Disney+, Hulu bundle with ads at $12.99 per month on August 18, 2026. Prices, taxes, promotions and eligibility can change, so treat that figure as a dated price signal rather than a permanent rate.

Do U.S. viewers need a VPN?
No—not for Hulu. If you are watching the U.S. Hulu catalog, a VPN adds no requirement or benefit for Season 12.
A VPN is relevant only if you are trying to use the UK version of ITVX. Some viewers connect to a UK server and attempt to load ITVX from abroad, but this is not guaranteed. ITVX can block VPN IP addresses, apply different rules to live and on-demand video, or request account and location information. Follow the service’s terms and never falsify eligibility information.
When Season 12 originally aired
The UK premiere took place on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 9 p.m. on ITV2 and ITVX, according to ITV’s announcement. The UK run included frequent episodes during the week, along with regular Unseen Bits installments.
Hulu’s U.S. rollout began on Thursday, June 12, 2025, with episodes released daily, as reported in the release announcement. That original timing lagged the UK broadcast. The season is now a catch-up title, but UK social media, news and fan forums may still spoil episodes before you watch them.

- Open Hulu’s signup or home page and create an account, or sign in.
- Search for Love Island.
- Choose the British series, labeled Love Island UK or Love Island, rather than Love Island USA.
- Open the season selector on the program page.
- Select Season 12 and start with Episode 1, or resume where you left off.
Search results can place the U.S. edition first. The British program’s Hulu guide is at hulu.com/guides/love-island-uk.
Can you watch Season 12 on ITVX from the U.S.?
ITVX is the UK home of the show. Its official Season 12 page lists episodes, including the opening episode and later installments. Listing does not guarantee permanent availability: ITVX retention windows and regional access can change.

ITVX is designed primarily for UK viewers. A U.S. visitor may see a geographic-restriction message, or the page may load while the player refuses to start. A VPN-to-ITVX attempt is therefore a possible UK-first route, not an officially guaranteed workaround. ITVX may also distinguish between a live ITV2 stream and an on-demand episode.
Qualified ITVX workflow
- Select a VPN service that offers UK server locations and review its current terms.
- Install it on the device you intend to use and connect to a UK server.
- Open ITVX in a browser or supported app and sign in or create an account if prompted.
- Search for Love Island, open the British listing, and choose Series 12.
- If playback fails, disconnect and try the troubleshooting steps below rather than assuming the season is unavailable.
Compatibility changes by server, device and account. Do not buy a VPN on the promise that it will always unblock ITVX. Official purchase pages for services readers may consider include NordVPN, Surfshark and ExpressVPN; current prices, renewal rates and ITVX performance require checking at checkout.

ITVX troubleshooting when the player will not work
- Try another UK server: ITVX may have blocked the IP range assigned to the first server.
- Use a private browser window: Clear ITVX cookies and site data, then sign in again.
- Switch devices: A desktop browser can work when a smart-TV app does not support the same VPN configuration.
- Review location permissions: Disable conflicting browser or device location services and restart the browser.
- Check prompts: ITVX may request an account, TV-licence confirmation or other UK-viewing information. Provide only accurate information and follow the applicable terms.
- Separate page access from playback: If the episode page loads but video does not, the server may be detected or that episode may have a different regional rule.
- Consider retention: An episode can leave ITVX after a rights or retention window even when other Season 12 pages remain visible.
If these steps do not resolve the problem, Hulu is the dependable U.S. alternative rather than repeatedly changing VPN settings.
Hulu or ITVX: which route fits you?
| Option | Best for | Advantages | Limitations |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hulu | Most U.S. viewers | Official U.S. availability, on-demand full-season access, straightforward setup and broad device support | Requires a subscription; the original U.S. rollout followed the UK broadcast |
| ITVX without VPN | Viewers in the UK | Original broadcaster and UK release window | Generally intended for UK users; access rules and retention can change |
| ITVX with VPN | Viewers prioritizing UK-first timing | May provide earlier access to UK episodes when a compatible route works | VPN blocking, account or eligibility prompts, variable device support and no guarantee of playback |
| Unlicensed sites | Not recommended | May appear free or early | Copyright and security risks, intrusive pop-ups, unreliable video, missing episodes and poor subtitles |
Hulu + Live TV is unnecessary solely for Season 12. Hulu’s welcome page showed a $89.99-per-month Hulu + Live TV with ads offer after a stated three-day trial for eligible subscribers on August 18, 2026, but that live bundle does not add a needed feature for an already-completed on-demand season.
Make sure you have the UK series
Search results combine several editions. Season 12 means the British 2025 series, not Love Island USA and not the 2026 UK Season 13. Hulu’s UK guide covers the British program, while ITV maintains a separate Love Island USA listing and the British Love Island listing. Confirm the UK label and Series 12/Season 12 selector before pressing play.
What if Season 12 disappears?
Catalog rights can change. First check Hulu’s UK guide and search while signed in; a season selector may be hidden below the title details or behind a dropdown. If you access Hulu through a third-party bundle, availability can differ from a direct Hulu account. Also remember that a U.S. subscription may not play while you are traveling abroad because licensing is geographic.

For ITVX, revisit the official Season 12 page to see whether episodes are still listed. A visible page is not a promise of permanent catch-up access, and live ITV2 rules can differ from on-demand rules.
