Other digital retailers
Universal Pictures Home Entertainment announced digital rental and ownership availability beginning July 15, 2025. In addition to Prime Video, check the movie’s page in your local Apple TV or other participating digital movie store. Apple’s regional listing confirms the 2025 release, PG rating, approximately two-hour-five-minute runtime, Universal Pictures credit, closed captions, and audio description, but storefront terms are not identical in every region.

The 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray + Digital Collector’s Edition is the strongest choice for collectors and households with a 4K player, compatible television, or home-theater system. The U.S. technical information lists HDR10 for the 4K presentation and Dolby Atmos for the feature’s English track on 4K. Those specifications are edition- and region-specific; international pressings may differ. Do not confuse the single-film release with the 2-Movie Collection
Universal also lists a How to Train Your Dragon: 2-Movie Collection in 4K Ultra HD + Digital, Blu-ray + Digital, and DVD formats. It combines the 2025 live-action film with the 2010 animated How to Train Your Dragon.
Choose the collection if you want both versions for a franchise household.
