PBC stated that a Prime membership was not required to purchase the event through Prime Video. The fight’s original PPV availability should not be confused with its current replay status: the live event has already taken place, and a current Prime Video archive, replay or purchase listing would need to be checked separately.
Prime Video also carried two related Gloves Off episodes released on February 13, 2025. Those programs followed the fighters’ preparation and promoted the matchup; they were supplementary behind-the-scenes content, not the live fight broadcast.

The headline bout was a 12-round contest at 135 pounds for Davis’s WBA lightweight championship. Davis was the reigning lightweight champion, while Roach moved up from the 130-pound super featherweight division for the title challenge. The two had also been amateur rivals; PBC reported that Davis won their two earlier amateur meetings.

Davis entered after stopping Frank Martin in the eighth round in June 2024. Roach entered after an eighth-round stoppage of Feargal McCrory.

Because Davis held the WBA lightweight title, he retained the championship. Roach did not leave Brooklyn with the belt.

The fight was closely contested. PBC reported that the fighters were separated by three or fewer landed punches in nine of the 12 rounds. Roach threw 121 more punches overall, while Davis landed six more power punches and Roach landed 15 more jabs.
The most debated moment came in the ninth round. After Roach touched Davis with a jab, Davis took a knee and then went to his corner while grease was wiped from his eye. The incident was not scored as a knockdown. PBC reported that counting it as a knockdown would have changed two of the judges’ scorecards in Roach’s favor.
The official outcome nevertheless remained a majority draw, with Davis retaining the title.
