Watch the seven live-action Jurassic Park movies in release order: Jurassic Park (1993), The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997), Jurassic Park III (2001), Jurassic World (2015), Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018), Jurassic World Dominion (2022), and Jurassic World Rebirth (2025). The complete collection runs 14 hours 44 minutes.
Watch the live-action Jurassic Park movies in release order
The best way to watch all seven live-action Jurassic Park films is release order. It is also the franchise’s practical story order: the first three movies establish Jurassic Park and the islands, the next three follow the rise and collapse of Jurassic World, and Jurassic World Rebirth continues the story five years after Jurassic World Dominion.
- Jurassic Park (1993)
- The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997)
- Jurassic Park III (2001)
- Jurassic World (2015)
- Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018)
- Jurassic World Dominion (2022)
- Jurassic World Rebirth (2025)
The list covers the seven live-action feature films currently included in Universal’s official Jurassic World 7-Movie Collection. Animated productions such as Camp Cretaceous, Chaos Theory, and LEGO specials are outside this list.
1. Jurassic Park (1993)
Steven Spielberg’s original film introduces Dr. Alan Grant, Dr. Ellie Sattler, Dr. Ian Malcolm, and park creator John Hammond. Hammond invites the scientists to inspect his genetically engineered dinosaur attraction before it opens to the public. The inspection turns into a fight for survival when the park’s safety systems fail.

- Factory sealed DVD
This is the essential starting point because it establishes the science, the park, the central ethical conflict, and the characters who shape the original trilogy.
2. The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997)
The direct sequel brings Ian Malcolm back into the dinosaur story. The action shifts from the original park on Isla Nublar to Site B on Isla Sorna, the island where InGen bred dinosaurs before transporting them to the theme park.
Use the full title, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, when searching for the movie. That avoids confusion with unrelated films and television adaptations called The Lost World.
3. Jurassic Park III (2001)
Alan Grant returns in a rescue expedition to Isla Sorna. Although the film has a more compact survival-adventure structure than its predecessors, it completes the original trilogy’s main run on the dinosaur islands.

4. Jurassic World (2015)
After the original park’s failure, the premise has become a functioning dinosaur resort. Owen Grady and Claire Dearing are at the center of a new emergency when the attraction’s push for a bigger spectacle creates a dangerous new threat.

This is the correct point to move into the Jurassic World era. It is not a reboot that requires you to skip the earlier films; it advances the same broad continuity and builds on the consequences of the original park.
5. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018)
Fallen Kingdom follows the consequences of the first Jurassic World crisis and turns its attention to the threatened dinosaur population on Isla Nublar. Owen and Claire become involved in an effort connected to the island’s remaining animals, pushing the series beyond the question of whether a dinosaur park can operate safely.
6. Jurassic World Dominion (2022)
By Dominion, dinosaurs are no longer confined to the islands. The original and Jurassic World casts converge as the franchise deals with a world in which humans and prehistoric animals must coexist beyond the boundaries of a theme park.
7. Jurassic World Rebirth (2025)
Jurassic World Rebirth begins a new direction for the film series five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion. The movie stars Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, and Jonathan Bailey. It is the seventh live-action feature in Universal’s current collection—not a similarly titled low-budget movie or an animated production.
Why release order is better than chronological experimentation
For this franchise, release order and narrative order are effectively aligned. The first trilogy introduces the original park and Site B; Jurassic World shows the park concept operating at full scale; Fallen Kingdom follows that park’s consequences; Dominion expands the story worldwide; and Rebirth takes place after it.

- Complete 2-Movie Collection – Includes both Disney’s Frozen (2013) and Frozen II (2019).
- High-Definition Blu-ray Quality – Stunning visuals and crystal-clear sound for the ultimate viewing experience.
- Region Free Edition – Playable on Blu-ray players worldwide.
- Unforgettable Soundtracks – Features iconic songs like Let It Go and Into the Unknown.
- Perfect Family Entertainment – Magical stories, beloved characters, and adventures for all ages.
There is no advantage to inserting the animated series or specials into a seven-film live-action marathon. They may add separate stories to the wider franchise, but they are not required to understand these movies.
Where to watch the seven movies in the U.S.
Streaming catalogs change frequently, and availability varies by country. The title-level checks below reflect U.S. listings checked in late July 2026; they are a snapshot rather than a permanent promise. Check each title immediately before starting your marathon.
| Film | Reported U.S. streaming options | Digital rental or purchase options |
|---|---|---|
| Jurassic Park | Peacock Premium, AMC Plus Apple TV Channel, YouTube TV, AMC, Philo, and Peacock Premium Plus | Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, and Fandango At Home |
| The Lost World: Jurassic Park | YouTube TV | Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, and Fandango At Home |
| Jurassic Park III | YouTube TV | Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, and Fandango At Home |
| Jurassic World | Peacock’s official listing identifies it as available on Peacock; the same page says the first three Jurassic Park films are also available there | Check the retailer of your choice for current digital terms |
| Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom | YouTube TV | Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, and Fandango At Home |
| Jurassic World Dominion | Netflix and Netflix Standard with Ads | Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, and Fandango At Home |
| Jurassic World Rebirth | Netflix and Netflix Standard with Ads in the cited JustWatch check; Peacock’s official page also identifies it as streaming exclusively on Peacock | Verify the current digital listing before renting or purchasing |
The conflicting Rebirth listings illustrate why service-specific claims need a fresh check. The difference may reflect update timing, territory, or a catalog transition. It should not be treated as evidence that every viewer will see the same option.
The simplest way to watch all seven
If you want one purchase rather than a patchwork of subscriptions and rentals, look for the Jurassic World 7-Movie Collection. Universal’s official home-entertainment listing says the collection contains all seven films and is available in Digital, 4K Ultra HD + Digital, Blu-ray + Digital, and DVD editions.
Before buying, verify the edition, region compatibility, included digital rights, and the retailer’s current terms. A digital purchase is a limited license to access the content, not an unconditional transfer of ownership. Physical discs are generally the more stable option when your priority is avoiding streaming-catalog rotation; digital editions are more convenient if you do not have a disc player.

Is the 4K collection worth considering?
The official collection also lists a Jurassic World 7-Movie Collection 4K Ultra HD + Digital edition. It is the most relevant format for viewers with a 4K television, compatible player, and interest in collecting the complete series. Viewers without 4K hardware may prefer the Blu-ray, DVD, or digital editions instead; the story is the same, and the best choice depends on your equipment and whether you value physical ownership.
How long does the complete marathon take?
Universal lists the total runtime of the seven-film collection as 14 hours 44 minutes. That excludes meal breaks, other interruptions, menus, bonus features, and any credits you skip.
For a more practical schedule, split the marathon across two days: watch the original trilogy on day one and the four Jurassic World films on day two. If you watch continuously, plan additional time for breaks rather than treating 14 hours 44 minutes as the actual time you will spend in front of the screen.

- Start with Jurassic Park (1993), not Jurassic World.
- Search for the complete title The Lost World: Jurassic Park.
- Watch all three original-trilogy films before beginning the 2015 sequel-era films.
- Keep animated series and LEGO productions out of this live-action-only list.
- Check U.S. streaming availability immediately before viewing; listings are not permanent.
- For one-purchase convenience, compare the Universal seven-film collection’s Digital, 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD editions.
- Allow more than 14 hours 44 minutes if you are taking breaks or watching bonus material.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the correct order to watch the Jurassic Park movies?
Release order is the best choice because it follows the franchise’s continuity: the original trilogy establishes the parks and islands, the Jurassic World films continue that story, and Jurassic World Rebirth takes place five years after Dominion.
