The reliable method is to identify the exact match first, check the official broadcaster licensed for your country, and then confirm the service’s app, subscription and device support. This guide covers Tests, ODIs, T20 internationals, franchise leagues and the main official services to check in each major cricket market.
How to find the right cricket stream
Start with the match, not the streaming app. A service that carries the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup may not carry a bilateral Test series, a domestic competition or a franchise league in the same country.
- Identify the competition. Decide whether it is an ICC tournament, a bilateral international series, a domestic competition or a franchise league.

United States and Canada: Willow by Cricbuzz
Willow by Cricbuzz is the main dedicated cricket-streaming option to check in North America. Its current service description lists ICC men’s and women’s events, the Asia Cup, home international series involving India, England, Australia, Pakistan, South Africa and other boards, as well as major T20 competitions.
The listed franchise and domestic coverage includes the IPL, Major League Cricket, The Hundred, SA20, the Big Bash League, the Pakistan Super League, the Caribbean Premier League and the Women’s Premier League. Willow is available through its own website and app and through several United States television and streaming distributors.
For the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, the ICC identified Willow as the official provider in the United States and Canada, with all matches available and USA matches free in those territories. That statement applies to the named tournament; it should not be expanded into a claim that Willow has every cricket right in North America.
United Kingdom and Ireland: Sky Sports and NOW
Sky Sports is a principal cricket destination in the UK and Ireland. Viewers may access Sky’s cricket coverage through a full Sky Sports subscription or stream it through NOW. The practical choice depends on whether you want a broader television package or a more flexible NOW Sports Membership.
For the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, the ICC placed coverage on Sky Sports Cricket and Sky Sports Main Event, with digital streaming through NOW. Selected matches or home-nation fixtures may occasionally be shown free through the Sky Sports app or Sky Mix, but treat that as an event-specific arrangement rather than a permanent free-stream policy.
Check the listing for the individual match before paying. A service may carry a tournament while a particular fixture is assigned to a different channel, included only in a certain membership or subject to a local scheduling change.
India: JioHotstar, Star Sports and event-specific rights
JioHotstar is a central digital destination for Indian cricket coverage. For the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, the ICC stated that every fixture was available in India through Star Sports on television and JioHotstar digitally, with multiple language feeds and additional digital viewing features.

Rights can split between television and streaming. JioStar announced exclusive digital streaming for India’s 2025 and 2026 tours of England, while Sony retained the television rights for those tours. That is why the right service for an India series cannot be inferred from the broadcaster of an ICC tournament. Check the specific tour, league or series announcement.
Australia: Prime Video, Kayo and Foxtel
Australia has more than one important cricket platform. For the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, the ICC identified Prime Video as the Australian broadcaster. For Australian cricket and other coverage carried through the Foxtel ecosystem, Kayo is an important service to check.
Kayo’s own service information lists cricket among its live sports and supports compatible televisions, streaming devices, mobile devices, browsers and consoles. It is therefore a strong starting point for Australian domestic and selected international coverage, but it should not be described as the home of every ICC event. New Zealand: SKY Sport
The ICC identified SKY Sport as the New Zealand service for the 2026 T20 World Cup. Check SKY Sport’s television and digital listings for the exact match, especially if you are deciding between a traditional sports package and an online viewing option.
Do not simply carry over the Australian service map to New Zealand. Prime Video and Kayo should not be treated as default New Zealand cricket services without event-specific confirmation.
South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa: SuperSport

Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and neighboring South Asian territories
For Sri Lanka, the ICC’s 2026 announcement identified Dialog TV, Dialog Play, ThePapare.com, TV Supreme and PEO TV. In Bangladesh, it identified T Sports, Nagorik TV and Rabbithole.
Several neighboring South Asian territories may receive distribution through Star Sports partners. Because the exact channel, app, language feed and free-to-air status can vary, viewers should confirm the country-specific listing for the tournament rather than relying on a regional assumption.

MENA, the Caribbean and Latin America
For the 2026 T20 World Cup, the ICC identified CricLife Max through StarzPlay for the UAE and wider MENA region, ESPN for Caribbean islands and Disney+ for Latin America.
These are useful current examples, not universal cricket catalogs. A later ICC event, bilateral series or franchise league may be assigned to a different platform, and availability may vary by country within each broad region.
How the answer changes by format
Test matches
Test rights are usually tied to the host cricket board or the broadcaster that purchased the host country’s package. To find a Test stream, search for the teams, host country and official broadcaster, then verify the result on the host board’s fixture page or the broadcaster’s current schedule.
An app carrying an ICC tournament does not automatically carry every bilateral Test series. This is one of the most common reasons a seemingly plausible streaming recommendation fails.

The Hundred illustrates why old streaming guides become unreliable. JioStar announced exclusive Indian coverage of all 68 men’s and women’s matches in 2026, while Sky Sports’ UK service page lists live Hundred coverage and says viewers can stream Sky Sports through NOW. The competition is the same; the legal service depends on the country.

Watching cricket on a television
You do not need a dedicated cricket device. A browser, phone or tablet is enough where the broadcaster supports it. For a television, use the service’s native smart-TV app, a compatible streaming player or casting from a mobile device.

A simple TV setup

- Install the official app from the device’s own app store, or use the service’s supported casting method.

- Open the match listing before the toss or start time and confirm that the fixture is visible.
- Keep the browser, app and device software current, but do not buy hardware until compatibility is confirmed.
If your television lacks the required app, an Amazon Fire TV Stick can be a practical way to add a compatible streaming platform. It is only an enabling device: it does not provide cricket rights, a subscription or a way around a location restriction. Check the current supported-device list and the exact Fire TV model before buying.
Legal and location restrictions
Use the official website, app or television distributor licensed for your actual location. Do not rely on unauthorized IPTV services, mirror domains or unofficial streams. Troubleshooting a cricket stream
The match is not listed
First check the competition and country again. The absence of a match may indicate that the service has rights to another tournament but not this one, that a local blackout applies or that the match is carried by a separate partner. Check the ICC.tv guide, the relevant cricket board and the broadcaster’s event schedule.
The app is unavailable on your TV
Check the service’s supported-device page and your television’s model and region. A service may support one generation of a streaming device or smart-TV operating system but not another. Use a supported browser, casting method or streaming player only after confirming compatibility.
The stream buffers
Separate a rights problem from a network problem. If the match listing is visible but playback struggles, close unnecessary apps, pause large downloads on the same network, update the official app or browser and try the broadcaster’s supported alternative device. If the provider reports an outage, changing hardware will not fix the service.
Only the Windows computer is slow
If other devices play normally but a Windows browser is sluggish, check for resource-heavy background applications, excessive browser data and low available storage.
