Bosch: Legacy Season 3 is complete. All 10 episodes are currently available on Prime Video. In the United States, the season is also currently listed in Prime Video’s free-with-ads catalog, so a Prime membership may not be required if that viewing option appears for your account and location.
The final season premiered with four episodes on March 27, 2025, followed by two episodes on April 3, April 10 and April 17. Season 3 is the final season of Bosch: Legacy, but it is not necessarily the final chapter of the wider Bosch television universe.
Where to watch Bosch: Legacy Season 3
The primary destination is Prime Video. In the U.S., the season is currently listed through both the paid Prime Video route and Prime Video’s free-with-ads catalog. The current U.S. availability listing was checked in August 2026, but streaming catalogs can change by country, account, device and title tier.
- U.S. viewers without Prime: Search for the free-with-ads listing and look for “Watch for Free” or “Free with ads.” If that option is available, you can watch without starting a paid Prime membership, but commercial interruptions will be included.
- Existing Prime members: Open the regular Prime Video listing, select Season 3 and begin watching through the subscription catalog.
- Viewers outside the U.S.: Check the Prime Video listing in your country. The paid or free-with-ads options—and whether the season is available at all—may differ from the U.S. catalog.

How to find the season on Prime Video
- Open the Prime Video website or app.
- Search for Bosch: Legacy, not just Bosch.
- Open the Bosch: Legacy series page.
- Use the season selector to choose Season 3.
- Choose “Watch for Free” or “Free with ads” if that label appears, or select the Prime membership option.
- Confirm that the page lists 10 episodes.
Prime Video’s labels can differ between a web browser, phone, smart-TV app and different account regions. The regular title page may emphasize joining Prime even when a separate free-with-ads listing is available, so check for the free viewing label before assuming that a subscription is required.
Is Amazon Prime required?
Not necessarily for U.S. viewers. The no-membership route is Prime Video’s free-with-ads catalog, where the title is currently listed. That option is separate from the paid Prime subscription experience and includes advertising.
For reference, Amazon currently lists U.S. Prime at $14.99 per month or $139 per year. Trial eligibility varies by account. These prices should be treated as dated information rather than a permanent rate; see Amazon’s current Prime pricing page before subscribing.
Amazon also lists Prime Video Ultra at $4.99 per month in the U.S. Ultra is intended to provide a more ad-free Prime Video experience, but Amazon warns that some select ad-supported content may still contain ads. Do not assume that upgrading to Ultra will remove every commercial from this particular title. The qualification appears in Amazon’s Prime Video Ultra information.

What happened to Freevee?
Older watch guides may tell you to download the Freevee app. That advice is outdated. Amazon phased out the standalone Freevee service and moved its free programming into Prime Video. The free-with-ads viewing route remains, but the current destination is Prime Video rather than a separate Freevee app. TechCrunch reported on the Freevee app transition, while the Los Angeles Times covered Amazon’s decision to phase out the branding.

Season 3 premiere date and release schedule
Bosch: Legacy Season 3 premiered on Thursday, March 27, 2025. Amazon released four episodes on launch day, then followed with two episodes on each of the next three Thursdays. The complete season became available on April 17, 2025.
Release pattern: Episodes 1–4 arrived March 27; Episodes 5–6 arrived April 3; Episodes 7–8 arrived April 10; and Episodes 9–10 arrived April 17. Amazon said the season launched on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories, although present-day availability and viewing tiers can vary by region.

The season uses elements from Michael Connelly’s novels Desert Star and The Black Ice. It is not a page-for-page adaptation of either book. Connelly’s official site describes the television season as drawing on plot elements from both novels; the series reshapes that material for its existing characters and continuing storylines.

Yes—the third season is the final season of Bosch: Legacy. There is no announced Season 4 of the spinoff as of August 9, 2026. The ending of the series should not, however, be confused with the end of the entire Bosch television universe.
The franchise’s television season count is:
- Bosch: 7 seasons
- Bosch: Legacy: 3 seasons
- Combined television run: 10 seasons
That “10-season run” means seven seasons of the original show plus three seasons of its continuation. It does not mean that Bosch: Legacy has 10 seasons.
The wider universe continues with Ballard, a related Prime Video spinoff centered on Detective Renée Ballard. The series premiered with all 10 episodes on July 9, 2025, and Amazon renewed it for Season 2 in October 2025.
